View Full Version : Revolt Against Freeloaders!

I saw a post on another board that inspired me to post the following ridiculous comments:

Everyone take down your enter links to your freesites and replace it with an AVS script.

We can enter into an agreement with the AVS owners where all our free sites are automatically approved and listed.

Freeloading would come to a virtual halt and we all would make money on both ends.

Everybody is happy.:)

I think we should all put a $29.95 fee to enter our free sites. If they pay, they will get access to 20 free pics. It's a win-win.

I sure wish something like this could feasibly happen. :)

it would be really good except that AVS systems are pretty much outlawed by the credit card companies (unless you jump through some pretty big hoops).

Plus, I encourage you to the max to put you sites behind AVS... more free traffic for me.

There are still some other AVS systems like ours out there that pay $20 for free signups. They, like us, were the ones that have been with the billing companies for a while. We are fine, although it's funny how many people post on boards that AVS's are dead. Our sales are still solid, with conversions around 1/75 on Sexkey and 1/60 on Mansites. So we are in agreement to clean up free sites that give it away.

Craig, still doing the "free avs" that also comes with the checkmarked box for the $39.95 membership? I understand that this is your product's way of getting around the AVS deal, by not selling AVS memberships but selling regualr paysite memberships as a semi-tied sale, right?

Wasn't this the same reasoning behind TGP2 & the very short lived LinkList2? :D

Had these ideas come out in 96 or 97, then maybe they would have worked. But, even if they did, you'd find webmasters do the "free" thing with sites & galleries knowing that it'd attract a lot of surfers.

Plus, you'll never, ever, get "everyone" to do it, and that's the only way it'd work.

Seems to be going the other way, more people giving away more free stuff. Every time I turn around, I see a new tgp, with tons of free galleries and all the free movies nowdays. And many newbies seem to think starting a tgp is the why to go, thats not good.

Yeah I agree 100%.

TGP 3 can only be something that gets more bookmarkers than current tgps. To do that you need to work out a way to get the sales while convincing the surfer that he is getting a better deal than with tgp.

I have been working on this for a while, and initial tests are .... well very encouraging ;)

Hey RawAlex,
You are correct that we give a 3 day trial to Pornking.com but we also give the 1 year membership to sexkey for a year free. On this we pay the $20 regardless of whether they cancel the trial with CCBill or not.

For everyone's information: Visa's hardon, on AVS models, is that they didn't want unscrupulous webmasters being able to hide in the AVS systems without registering and being held accountable. I can tell you that 98% of webmasters are honest and fair, but there are a few in this world who need to be kept on a short leash.

Not sure if our system works in the model you all are proposing, but we are always open to new ideas. We don't have any chargeback issue, and we don't put rules on our webmasters on who they can promote or how many banners. Let us know if you or anyone else has an idea that you would like to try. craig "at" sexkey.com

I will also be at www.thephoenixforum.com if anyone is attending in a few weeks.
