Hey, have a question.

If I were to say, charge for partner accounts or featured gallery spots on a TGP site, could I have people pay through PayPal? I know they don't like to be used for adult sites, but do they just mean for membership payments for paysites?

If not, is there a similar PayPal type system that is commonly used in the adult industry?

Thanks,

Bill

It means anything that has to do with adult. ePassporte works well with adult.

What swedguy said. :)

I signed up with Stormpay but have yet to do anything with them.

Money Bookers (https://www.moneybookers.com/app/?rid=434484) works well with adult also, but due to problems with the US banking system, it's seems best to draw money out by cheque if you are in the US.

Use epasporte, it's the most commonly used.

Storm pay won't do gambling site any more, so I'm assuming they won't do adult either.

Ok, I signed up on both sites, but so far only StormPay has responded and given me an account. And I just read in their user agreement that you can't do adult with them :o( So I'm just waiting for a confirmation from ePassporte.

Thanks,

Bill

Forget them all, if in the UK then www.nochex.com or rest of the world look at www.pppay.com or www.yowcow.com If you have a secure server and can enter credit card details supplied to you then www.propay.com

Trust me I am a panty seller, I am used to my accounts with Paypal, Ikbos and even Storm Pay being closed...

Nochex is good - I've had an account for years, but it's UK only.

imho Money Bookers is better for non-US residents as they accept a load of countries and have a direct to bank cash transfer option. ATM fraud is rife in Europe, so it's not attractive to many of us as a collection method. Why not have epassporte and Money Bookers as options to get the widest coverage.

btw - PayPal reversed a cleared funds transaction on me, so I wouldn't touch them. Good job I took the money out before they got to it. :)

How long does it take to get a reply from ePassporte? I applied yesterday and I haven't gotten an email from them yet.

Give them just a bit more time, they are usually very good.

For Adult transactions stay away from Adult.

ePass also gets my vote, plus you can't beat the Visa ATM card you can get from them :)

Ok, I did get a reply from them but I had deleted it due to the subject line of the email: "Fwd: New Sales Lead" - I thought it was just another spam email amongst the hundreds that I get every day - lol!

They're asking me what I want to use their services for, so let's see if they're Ok with adult stuff :D

Thanks again!

for my partner accounts 90% pay with epassport
I would say the last 6% use storm pay
and around 2% pay with checks and another 2% use money bookers

$75 set up fee?!?!??

I finally got an email back from ePassporte and they're telling me they have a $75 set up fee. Oh well. So much for them I guess!

Thanks,

Bill

I have just noticed with https://www.epassporte.com/ that they have a small grey Google PR bar, this means Google is blocking them due to problems when spidering? I was always lead to believe that any site linking to a Google blocked site or grey bar site looses PR themselves for doing so?

Might be because it's on a secure server? https instead of hhtp - just guessing though. Checked ccbill stats and they are the same.

This has to be a mistake. Wow! I guess I can't complain because one of my sponsors set me up for an epassporte account and their cost was $5.

Jel

Hmm, isn't it $35 for the card, $5 set-up fee, and the rest is a balance? Can't remember exactly, but check it to make sure :)

Whatever the fees involved with setting up an Epass account, you might make that back over and over again by offering them as a payment method. They are a pretty popular payment method.

You could sign up for a sponsor who uses EPass. Your first sale, they will use to open the account for you. http://www.epassportesponsors.com

All I want is someone who I can get paid through like PayPal. I don't need a card, and since I'm really just starting out I can't afford $75 for this. I guess I'll just have to wait until I either find a free service, or I start doing better so I can afford the $75 - lol!

I am really liking my ePassporte account. I just wish I could get all my sponsors to pay me via ePassporte.

What I really didn't like is that there is no mention of set up fees on their sign up form. If there was, I wouldn't have gone through the hassle of filling it out and then waiting 4 days for a reply.

Oh well. Live and learn.

You may feel slighted or turned off by the whole process at the moment, but there will be a time that will come where you will be quite happy to have an epassporte account, trust me.

I know what you mean. If I had the cash I would do it, but we're barely making our mortgage payments right now, so it will have to wait - lol!

Thanks,

I never heard of any setup fee. If there is one just join a program that gives you one for free. But, I don't think there is a fee anyway.

Just a quick not of caution about Nochex - it looks as if they may be having some probs at the moment. If anyone wants a link to a thread about it, then please pm me.

And also a note about Money Bookers. It looks as if you can now use your Money Bookers cash to pay off your Visa credit card.

Did you by chance try to get a business account?

tortus32
2005-04-26, 04:39 PM
They called it a "Commerce" account. It's the only one that allows you to receive payments, so maybe that's abusiness account?

Anyhow: I seem to recall several sponsors are offering Epassport accounts for free or minimal fee if you're really selling their site (= sign-up for an active account). Just look around ;)
