I was just looking around at the number of computers that are in my house & remembering back to when I got the 1st one & everyone wanted to use it - LOL
So, stupid poll time - how many active & working computers do you have in your house? (the 3 old towers sitting in the corner do not count - LOL)

I turn all my old puters into servers, if they count then I have over 10. My old laptops become storage devices something like portable HD's.

i have two loaded servers that i run from home, both doing hosting for friends and relatives and paying folks too, then I have my wifes Dell, and thats a really good burner for cds and dvds and then I hae my 350 dollar screemer that I just built, and thats my editor and program keeper, plus its a mail server as well, so Im pretty busy with that. and 2 old pentium 3 desktops that are just my personal network server clint machines for storage and file playing ( sometimes I host online games on them so I can play) I am getting 2 new servers pretty soon to add to my large network. So just for the purpose of this post I have 6 am adding 2 and want 10 more!
I have a 26 port client hookup for my little red box! Haha.
After I drop off my old G4 this week I'll be down to three, two Macs and one Win2K machine.
That is not counting the closet full of computers that aren't being used.

Although I don't claim English as my primary language I still think the subject is highly relevant. Spelling like 5 year-old kids or simply writing nonsense will most likely have a negative effect on sales... but thats a totally different thread I think :)
So by all means... keep the English lessons coming |shake|

Good call Green Guy its the worst when:
1) Someone comes to visit and they suck the life out of your computer
or
2) You go some place and there's no computer for you to use at free will.

Three active ones. Had fourteen until I closed down my software business after 20+ years.
We have 5 active...
Mine (still shiny & new....), my old one (now re-formatted and in the living room...), my son's PC, my daughter's PC and the laptop which I use often and on the road.
Plus... there are 4 in the garage collecting dust... or wait - they ARE dust... something like that. lol

We have 3. One is my new Dell, one for my husband (but that I also store crap on) and one for the kids.

I live alone... I have 7 computers. 6 plus a laptop. Two of them are for video edits and production, the laptop is for travelling and roaming the house, one does nothing but accounting and such, and the rest are for web design, graphics, and other happy jobs.
Range from an ancient AMD 333 to a P4 2.8gig multithread (that does video, which requires a boatload of horsepower to do right, especially MPEG2 encoding for DVDs.

Three - 2 PCs we have built ourselves and 1 laptop (Dell).
My PC is 6 years old...I can't remember anymore if it has any original parts left...
As I don't play games I only need one PC.
I have One (1), just one PC! |sad| It's a decent one though.
I also live alone and if you saw my apartment you'd know why ;)

4 soon to be 5 (all working) - though I only use one.
Since we recently moved, I'm guessing 10+ old ones plus parts went to a place where kids see if they can get them to work. If they do get it to work, they can take it home or sell it for like $25.00 - $50.00.

Yeah they did, but I just had a friend bring one over a few days ago for me to look at and I thought I was going to die of old age waiting on it. I just kept saying, why, what's the point... rofl

I've got six working computers; my PII 300 |frankie , a P90 and a 486 sx25 for the kids, and my wife's PIII 700, which I'm not allowed to touch... except when it's not working...
I've got one Tandy T1000 |ghost| that works, an 8088 which also works... two TI-99 4A's |afro| in storage (working)
I can't count the number of dismantled computers I have.

Only one, a mac performa 7100 which was terminated in 1997, pretty slow but I lost two recently to storms and can't afford even a G3 right now.
