magpie - it's a workable mess.. I hate "clean" :)

Haha!! missed the nail polish remover... but, hey, I guess nail polish remover has many useful applications aside from... erm... removing nail polish... lol....

got to admit, I hate mess... it starts to do my head in after a while - this is as messy as I get!
tidy

By the way Dave - I take it you are a Viz fan! For the uninitiated...
Roger Mellie IS the man on the Telly:
... Roger's Profanisaurus is here!

I still have the original booklet of this that went out with the xmas 97 ed somewhere... I remember Viz when it first came out in '79, a few photocopied pages sold in boozers in my home town of Newcastle..

Off topic I know - but funny as hell :)

I agree on the nail polish remover, it has many uses.

I notice you are the first to post a pic of your desk, which includes a bookshelf full of tech manuals. I have one too |rasta|

doublep, :D Jeremy-RR, pointed me to viz.co.uk a while back.. and I go and get my fix every now and again.. No one imports Viz out here anymore execpt a few obscure places.. It is still one of the funniest mags on the planet, My "Pathetic Sharks" Special is my fav.

...and that office is WAAY to tidy mate... :)

The "nail polish remover"............ is not for when I am in the mood to wear Cleo's shoes... but for cleaning my whiteboards.. I am a "list" junkie.:)

Not even my mom whos 53 years old uses 800x600 any more. Dont even know anyone who uses 800x600. Whats up with that ?

I run at 1152x864 myself, i really would like to see 1024 become more popular, i'm tired of building for 800x600 but i do notice a lot of people still use 800x600, like friends and family so i do my part and change their monitor settings when they're not looking.

Using a high resolution on my monitor strains my eyes. I'd seriously be using 640x480 if I wasnt designing graphics and web pages everyday. Since I do, I keep my monitor at 800x600.

A friend of mine has a beautiful 19" sony flat screen, and he insists it be kept at 640x480. Some people are just wacked I guess.

I also do design and have my monitor set to 800x600... the most popular and my eyes are not so tired working for 14-16 hr. I am checking my work in higher rez also but it makes no sense to lose sales on it, get galleries rejected etc. Just my two cents.
I have an flat rate LCD monitor now and it is less accurate than the classic was, it took me a long time to get used to it.
