Looks like HD TV is switching to Mpeg-4 which is going to be far better they say but pretty much breaks everything that you bought.

This is also going to be the new DVD format replacing the existing Mpeg-2 format I'm told. Apple is making a big deal out of it with support for it in their new OS due this month.

My rich neighbor has all the HD stuff. It's great… you can see all the razor stubble on the talent right down to the ingrown hairs. The other day we were slow motioning stuff to check out the plastic surgery scars. We even found one that had labia surgery scars.

His 12 foot projection TV is still the old style TV. I can't wait until he upgrades that one. Just think what we will be able to spot on that one when it goes HD. :D
