Many years ago I used to have a very successful mailorder business selling photograph sets of girls. Since I had discovered Thailand I also did Asain girls. All very profitable.

Then the law in the US changed re 2257 so no more magazines sales, the ID was just not good enough. Then the law in Thailand changed and the girls became very wary of posing for photographers. They were trying to change the way the world viewed Thailand from being part of the sex tourist haunts to a family holiday country.

Also even though it's a "Sex Capital" and the working girls will fuck you stupid all night for $20. They will run when they see a camera and normal girls will not be seen dead with a Westerner and definitely are not going to be posing nude.

So I stopped shooting there. Now the problem is simple, few professionals will go to Asia to shoot because of the problems there. So you are left with amateurs or newbies shooting there.

And to top it off we had some Asian content on our site and sales sucked. So all in all it's more proftable to stay at home and shoot local teens.

Not sure about kick backs, but I do know that when we were in the Phillippines we could do anything so long as we paid the right people. But that does not get around 2257 and if the IDs are in Sanscript who knows what they say.

If one had an ID and held the latest Bangkok Post up day of shoot with date and face clearly visible, this would not cut it with 2257?

It didn't work out with the Thai woman...I think for the best.

I was more in love with lwanting to live in Northern Thailand than her...I just convinced my self otherwise for a while. ;)

You have some timing! I was there exactly one year ago and my then fiancee's birthday is on 9/11.

It depends on the ID. But this is a good tip if you're shooting anyone a few days after their 18th birthday, proves when you shot her.
