Awww fuck it who cares, you have a sig I love looking at :) Nice ass! hahaha..

Does anyone buy Dvd's online? If so from where?

Greenguy 2003-08-30 08:18 AM

I have bought dvd's form Amazon from time to time - The Bitch loves Travolta, so for the last 2 Xmas' it was just easier to go there & search for him so I can get all the titles for her :)

Dr Bizzaro 2003-08-30 08:54 AM

Yeah, right when I got my player I was buying them from Amazon like crazy. It was very easy and cheap.

Now, when something comes out that I want, I'll just run over to Best Buy. (Especially now since they have that reward zone thingy going. Hell, I racked up like $80 in credits when I bought that lap top.)

My name is DrBizzaro and I am an impulse buyer.

$50 each?!?! Where do you buy your DVD's? Try-n-Save? Ripp You Off's?

Most of the DVD's I pick up are between $14.99 and $19.99.
Some are even between $7.99 and $10.99.
The only time I'll pay more for a DVD if it's a collectors addition or if it is a multiple DVD set.

"Lord of the ring - the two towers" cost just about 50 $ here in denmark...
Normal dvd's cost about 35 $ and if you are lucky you can get a old movie for about 16 - 20 $ <-- still too expensive

new ps2 games 99 $ |angry|
new pc games about 70 $
new musick cd's 20 $

hate this freaking crountry when i comes to the prices.
and yet... get 600 $ a month from the state just for being a student |bananna| and I work for no less than 20 $ an hour.

but still - its too expensive in scandinavia and i hate paying
50 % tax plus 9 % extra tax ( eventhough the state try to tell us that it has nothing to do with taxes... yeah right ). Dont look forward to the time when i start earning a desent amount of money - the 50 % tax is something you look back on with a smile|sad|

If you don't need all the subtitles you can get a region free dvd player and then dvd's from anywhere will work... I do that so we can watch Japanese dvd's

my dvd count? about 400 and growing!

Actually that has been made illegal now over here |pissed|

My DVD player is zone free and about 25 of my movies are region 1. Didn't want to wait fucking months to see a movie. Then they passed this new law and now shops selling region 1 discs have closed. It is illegal to buy other than region 2 discs. I am not sure if you can still go places to get a zone free DVD.

A friend of mine bought a zone free DVD just before they passed the law. Lets just say it is limited in its zone free usability. When switched to region 1 everything is black and white |pissed|
Region 2 is of course fine.

Extreme John 2003-08-31 03:57 PM

All this DVD talk I am certainly going to buy a bunch tonight from Amazon.com

hey BTW anyone with Circuit City around them, they are having a DVD sale, tons of DVD's for $9.99 and not just old shit either, so now might be the time to stock up early for Christmas, or ofcourse for yourself.

I too am a Shopaholic, I love it I love it I Love it!

You have to count the simpsons set, they are Dvd's too.

I can also make my own player region free, but I'm not going to do that. My english is good enough when I read or write, but as I haven't speak any for years, my hearing and speaking is lousy. As I owned many businesses before 1996 I traveled all the time and had to speak english almost every day. Now I only speak finnish, but good thing is I read and write english every day.

EDIT: I think changing my player to region free is prohibited here too. I don't know about DVDs - they used to sell region1 disks in hi-fi fairs, but I don't know if they do that anymore. We were too lazy to go this year.
