We didn't mention this thread on the show because we weren't sure that the payout was made & didn't want to fuck anything up for mariah but I will say this: I personally think that this issue was only resolved because it was brought to the board(s)

I have never understood the conditioning that has taken pace with webmaster about not bring a problem to the board. I do understand trying to solve a problem in a nice friendly manner with the person or company you are having a situation with, BUT.... one a webmaster has made a good faith effort to come to an understanding about a disagreement and feels he/she has run into a brick wall... Why the hell should that webmaster bring it out into the open. Just because sponsors of the past have somehow convinced webmasters that it is not the right thing to do.. very few bring these type things to light, and that in its self allows these sponsors who don't want to honor their own agreements to take advantage of others.....

Lets take this case for example: What the hell difference does it make whether the 2500 bucks is spent by one customer spending it all or 100 spending 25 bucks a piece?

wait I just thought of something... Maybe the sponsor wants to have information to be able to contact others outside your pay zone and sale them and you not be able to get anything off that traffic.... well it appears to be something shady to me because they will make the same off 2500 bucks whether spent by one person or the same amount spent by many....

I strongly suspect that GG is very correct that this wouldn't have been settled in a favorable manner without it have been brought up on the board, and that they still don't want this discussed in detail because they will fear that you will want to know what the hell their reasoning is on insisting on more traffic rather than simply paying on the amount spent. It simply appears they are and have been up to something that they would rather keep quiet.

Is it just me or does it seem that exposure of bad biz practices is at an all time high?

Wouldn't surprise me as the margins get tighter and program owners become increasingly desperate to stay in the black.

It seems to peak every year right before an internext show. Sponsors with bad business sense have to figure out some way pay for Vegas.

That and people open programs without a lot of capital and sometimes the proper knowledge in paysites and running affiliate programs.

You aren't paying the webmaster as promised. What the fuck more is there to know?

If you have something you'd like to say that could exonerate your program on this issue, which I doubt is possible, say it. Otherwise, pay the woman. You claim that her customer committed fraud, but what the hell do you think LiveBucks is doing by not paying her?

And I agree with weirdharold. There is only so much a person can do until taking it to the boards is all that is left.

It amazes me at how a program will loose 10 times the amount of new sales by handling something this way. If they would have payed Mariah months ago and explained the situation they would have gotten new webmasters promoting them. Instead they come up with BS statements and loose so much more.

Just an update...they claim to have closed my account as well as this customer's account, yet I continue to get emails notifying me that sales are continuing to be made. He said that they refund the funds to him immediately but, hmmm...wouldnt he have to have access with a user/pass to buy the show? how is his cc being charged to get a sale completion for me to get those emails?

Sounds like someone is still making money but not being straight with me, doesnt it?

I hope that this guy does what he says in "90 days" and pays me what he owes me in full. He claims to have faxed copies of this guys ID, Credit Card and signed authorization yet he wont tell me who it is or show me proof of any documentation.

It must be very frustrating. I went through the same thing years ago when I used to promote dailers. It was only a couple of hundred dollars but very frustrating nevertheless. Never did get paid.

hey guys...some of you may have ready my posts in december regarding LiveBucks not paying me for the sales I sent on Privatefeeds...they owe me $3,348.87 and have not paid me a cent. They claimed in this thread http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...ight=livebucks that they eat all chargebacks and refunds,,,,yet for some reason that doesnt apply to me?

They claimed after 2 months of the same guy buying shows every day that they had received from him a faxed copy of his ID and credit card as well as his signature authorizing his large spending and I need not worry.

The owner, Karl Hamilton said he knows it wasnt me in the wrong, but he couldnt pay me until the claim had been investigated by the bank which would take up to 90 days.
Well, 90 days will be here February 28 and I'm gonna bet that I dont get a dollar.
I have emailed Karl several times and have gotten a few very weak replies. So I am to the point of having to take legal action against his company. My problem is this: He is in Montreal and I am in Florida. I have an attorney friend here who practiced law in Montreal for years and is helping me a lot, and said I will win for sure. The only thing he sees as a problem is this guy not paying me when he loses.

This is where you, the webmasters come in.
I ask that anyone who uses LiveBucks not use them any more or promote them in any way. Tell anyone you can about how they do business.
I will make it my crusade to be at every show, on every board and in every ear and email I can with all of this information.

I will copy and paste or forward emails from them if anyone would like to see proof of non payment or of their out-right lying to me.

I am sorry to be a whiner but I got fucked, and it sucks big time. Im a single mom and work my ass of on my site doing 6 live shows every week, and that money would have paid for my son's christmas and more.

Mariah, sounds like a real mess, and while I don't use livebucks I will definitely watch this one with interest.

However that being said, I think its stupid of them to claim they will eat all CB's and Refunds. If a surfer gets a refund or does a CB then the program should take that from the WM payout, especially with affiliate fraud as bad as it is nowdays (you wouldn't believe some of the things affiliates try when scamming a program!).

If they have had some huge chargebacks or a surfer who ripped them off blind, then I would be surprised if any affiliate program wouldn't treat it as a special case and watch the account/affiliate closely at the very least.

However in my personal opinion I think they should honor the payment terms you signed up to. :)
