IMO, the final judging process is where the question of legitimacy occurs. I would think that a write-in nomination process and then take the top 5 and open up final voting thereby allowing the 'public' to be the final judge.

Yeah, that would have to be addressed. I have some ideas about how this could be accomplished and I am sure someone like Sparky could do a script to take care of most of this.
