It reminds me I need to email a sponsor.. They cut my payouts down to $20 because my trial signups werent converting. I havent put a lot more through them since but would like to because they do sell ok. I will email and ask them to take another look and maybe put my payouts back up and then I will promote them more again. I don't see how I can make the trials convert.. isn't that up to them?

Natalie - if a sponsor did that to me I would have dropped them like a hot rock and posted all over the boards (I dont care if their TOS says they can do it) - its not the affiliates job to convert anything for them - and after seeing just about every sponsors members areas I can tell you that its amazing that some are still in business.

Thats the most BS reason Ive ever heard of for a sponsor to screw you out of your payouts - could you post who it was so I can make sure Im not promoting them

And I sure wouldnt go back begging to them to up my pay - they would be blacklisted from any submits to my LL as well

This was their reason (it was in June 04):

Your account is currently very unprofitable for XXXX. We understand that you run a good clean website, and appreciates your doing business with us. But at this time, XXXX can only afford to pay $20 per signup on this account since the trial to one full month membership retention is far below the company average. As of June 14, 2004 the payouts on this account will be adjusted to a flat $20 per signup.

I doubt I am the only one that had this happen. I am not going to name the sponsor here but I will pm you Linkster. I am not gutless lol, just don't like shit fights and there have been too many here lately.
My traffic is good and clean ffs, I am not going put with this anymore. Its been 18 months of lost money and you are right Linkster.. I don't need to beg, I need to find a better place to send my hard earned traffic.
