I have developed a hotlink protection script and have spent a few months digging into all the http_referer issues with fusker, hotlinkers, media players etc. So yes, in a way it makes me more knowledgable when answering you and take my time to try to help you out. I wouldn't care less if you didn't buy MY script. Go buy antihotlinking or coldlink or use google for "free/cheap scripts".

You said js was not an option to begin with. I saw it, thats why I said o t h e r - s e r v e r - s i d e - s c r i p t, you know, one that runs in your server. So maybe you should re-read my answer and get off that defending position and stop seeing every post as spam.

I see some demos but didn't see one uses a single gallery page, maybe I just missed.

First visit the "hotlinker" : http://hotlinker.trafficguardian.com . On that page it has direct links (with HTTP_REFER). On the second page (index2) it uses js to send empty HTTP_REFERER.

My bad, the link to http://host-a.trafficguardian.com/tour/index.html will NOT work directly ( it will redirect you to the index page ), because it is set up for deeplink protection as well. You will have to follow the "take the tour" link to let you in.
Btw, remember that the script has a timeout period, within which a legal surfer that has visited the gallery will be able to hotlink to the protected content, until the time out expires ( It is set to 5 minutes on the demo site ).

So if I would say get a listing on the Hun with a gallery page and a lot of the traffic is no referral to an mpeg, like what seems to happen when Windows users start viewing your movies in WMP and or Mac Safari, then the script would stop server the movie?

I'm asking this because I noticed that when I blocked no referral traffic using htaccess Windows users using WMP or Mac Safari users were no longer able to view the mpegs so I'm guessing that they do not send referral info.

Any surfers that visit your gallery page, will be able to see the mpeg movies ( or any other movie types), no matter if their browser or their media player sends a referal or not.
The script is designed to stop hotlinking and allowing your surfers to access your media content within the timeout period.
