thanks guys and gals, it always makes one feel better to hear some kind words from friends of this great board.... On a side note the day before, my moms best friend lost her 41 year old husband to a heart attack caused by the strongest chemo he was taking for treatment from lung cancer... and the sad thing about the whole thing is that they have no family here, they came from bosnia and they have only 1 daughter.... they dont even have any paul bear's - I gotta be one tomarro and thats when they are burying him.... been a sad 3-4 days.. think I'll review more tonight as tomarro will be crazy...

add my condolences as well Plateman, sorry to hear such sad news. My grandmother died last year - it's hard to lose someone no matter what age they are.

Yeah sorry to hear that Plateman. :(
93 is a very blessed age indeed, many people would sign for that |
sorry for your loss plateman.
I HATE |angry| the fact that we still live such short lives and before I got into this game I studied my ass off learning about how science and technology are converging to offer us radically extended lives in the not too distant future, gene therapy using RNA interfacing, genetic engineering, drugs which are in the pipeline as we speak for FDA approval that will propbably add 10-15 years by themselves, ALT-711, EUK-189, NtBHA, PBN, M40403, and a muscular dystrophy drug that will prevent sarcopenia(Muscle loss) in the elderly. There is also a company http://www.cytoritx.com/ that is using stem cells derived from your own adipose(fat) tissue, culturing it, and then putting them back in you to help cure what ails you.|thumb This site is cool http://www.mprize.org/index.php?pagename=whyaging if you are unfamiliar with the topic and want to help out, back in the 30s it was though that smallpox, which killed millions was not preventable, today it kills virtually no one; aging will be the same in the future. |
Sorry about your loss :(
My Dad died almost 6 years ago... it's not a nice time but time does heal. Lisa |
