Saw a great way of getting the mouse back after working in the Windows window over on www.macosxhints.com
Quote:

Using Parallels Workstation? To regain control of the mouse in OS X (freeing it from the virtual machine), the default key command is Control-Option (they call it Control-Alt), and then you have to move the window to do what you wanted to do on your Mac. When you are ready to go back to Workstation, you have to remember to click inside the PC window to get back the PC cursor.

A simplified solution is to simply hit Command-H, which is the Hide command that we are already familiar with. Not only will the PC window disappear, but you automatically get the Mac mouse back. On return to the PC window, the PC cursor is automatically there waiting for you.

[robg adds: This trick is handy if you're running non-Windows virtual machines with Parallels. But if you're running a version of Windows in Parallels, make sure you install the Parallels Tools, as you then won't need this solution.

After logging into Windows, "free" the mouse and select VM: Install Parallels Tools from the menu. This will launch a Windows installer (on Win2K, I had to manually open the CD image and launch it) that adds some key functionality to the virtual PC. The two biggest improvements are screen resolution and the mouse. The mouse in will now work seamlessly between OS X and the PC window, no keyboard use required. Move the cursor outside the PC window, and OS X owns it. When it's over the PC window, it belongs to the PC. Also, all the "jerkiness" in mouse movement disappears.]
I see Microsoft has lots of Macs. Got to love the 30" Apple display showing the desktops of 50 Macs at once.

Apple came out with the 17" MacBook Pro today. Base price is $2,799 which is almost a grand less then what I paid for the almost three year old 17" Powerbook that I'm using now.

Specs include:
2.16 Intel Core Duo Processor
667 MHz front-side bus
Up to 2GB of RAM (667 MHz DDR@ SDRAM)
iSight Camera
MagSafe Power Adapter
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 PCI Express graphics 256MB
Firewire 800, Firewire 400
Bluetooth, Airport Extreme

Guess I better start saving my money now for when the Adobe stuff gets ported over.

NICE! Get a 15" with a 20" Cinema display instead, almost the same price :)

I've become a Mac whore. I'm going to get a 19-23" screen. But instead of getting another brand that is cheaper, I want to get an Apple just because they are damn sweet looking. I feel so ashamed :D

I bought the 23" Apple LCD a few months ago. I looked at a few other brands but the only thing that came close to the 23" was one from Dell that actually cost a bit more then what I paid for the Apple 23".

It really is the best monitor that I've ever used and the built-in firewire and usb ports in a nice extra plus it just looks kewl. :)

SWEET!! I like :D

Did you look at the 20" too? Why did you go with the 23"? I know I will pick one of them, but I don't know which one. The little time I played around with them, I only figured out that one felt huge and the other felt more huge hehe.

Went with the 23" because it is bigger.

I might have even gone with the 30" if my laptop had supported it but it is too old.

Neighbor has the 30" and all I can say is a I want one.

I work with two monitors now, 23" and the laptop's 17", and the more desktop room I have the faster I can work.

20" is pretty decent. I just recommended it to Angel and she bought it. But for someone like me that has programs full of palates and working with lots of stuff open in each program and working with close to twenty programs open all the time the extra desktop space was with the extra money.

I would image that once I get the new 17" laptop a 30" display for it will not be far off.

Apple did some new PC verses Mac ads that are kind of funny.
