I been thinking about getting a real office

Last month I needed a new computer so I got a laptop

the thing is what if I rent a office and find it really boring
and I got a really sweet office at the house, going from this office to a draby white box isnt really appeling

I would get something close, less then a 10 min drive so traffic isn't a issue

i would need another car

Tommy, I've thought the same thing on occassion. If I want to go and get things done for a few hours I'd have a spot to do it with no interuptions.

look at this guy on Oprah ..doesn't he look like like so and so

a couple months of that and you start to understand why guys kill their wives

don't get me wrong I don't condone it but lately i understand it

in fact the other day (true story) i caught myself making mental notes while watching a FBI show about some guy that killed his wife

I actually caught myself sitting there thinking
gotta make sure no blood gets in the trunk :D

Tommy, I think you need a vacation. :)

Nataliya and I have we have things laid out pretty well. When I close the office door that's it. I am not to be bothered because I'm putting food on the table. When the door's open I can be interrupted by walk by chats but "Hey come here" always brings the response of the door closing.

I spent 15 years working in an office and the walk by chats were common place so this is no difference. Well, I much prefer my 2 year old interrupting me then some office dip shit but that's about it.

Didn't realise this was an old thread until a couple of posts ago, but office at home here also. Great points about 'Hey look at this guy on the TV' and also about other distractions being a 'good' kinda distraction, ie the youngest saying 'Hello Daddy' or whatever. Swings and roundabouts, but overall, I like working from home.

Discipline is the key to working at home. Sounds a lot easier then it is. |pokefun|

When we started out back in 2000, we used to have 3 computer jammed into our bedroom, lol. Then when our VHS movies were taking off, we looked like an old IBM computer room. |jester|

At one point we were running a 1/2 dozen go-video duplicator machines about 18 hours a day. It was crazy. Wow, is burning dvds a lot easier. |bananna|

You could hardly walk around our bedroom. When we built our new house last year, we built it with our "porn" room. Now it so nice, when Mark does feel like working late at night, I could sleep without hearing that damn keyboard!|thumb
