I will give that a try tanks a lot. I am using fireworks now. I am having some issues. I use dreamweaver and when I work with img's in firworks and put them in Dreamwever if the img are not PNG they dont work. I mean they dont show up or they show up as broken links. I currently have to convert any jpg's to png's anyone know why? Banners are ok. They work as gif's or automated gif's only. I find this very strange.....

when you save pics in fireworks, do you save as or export them? I use both of those too - I export them as jpgs & it works ok.

I have been doing "save as" is it better to export? I know fireworks is a huge program and I dont know it all that well. I got a big 1000 page book on it just havent found the time to bite into that one lol

yes, export it. Save as will try to save as .png. So in the export menu, you've got File name (whatever.jpg) and Save as type (images only).

Also, if you don't already know this - click the preview pane at the top of your panel when you have a pic there & on the left it will show the size in kb & seconds. You can adjust the quality in the optimize menu bar on the far left to get the weight down. Look up 'optimizing and exporting' under Help - Using Fireworks.

Fireworks is complicated, but you don't have to know it all, just what you need to know :)

edit - LOL glad you got it |thumb

You might want to take a look at your site at 800 wide as well as 1280 & higher - it looks a lot different that the 1024 I assume you are looking at it in.
