sorry it took me so long to respond back but i was agressively growing my business by attending the Search engine chat with SE guru Bill.
SPAM, like Shit, happens!! Now go build something and hope your domain isn't blacklisted for calling the list you are submitting to names!! |yawn| NEXT |

I am glad you are so proud of yourself...job well done. Thanks for all the help and insight, such a beautiful thing you do. First you insult, then you deny, then you pat yourself on the back. Yep - you are special!

On a final note:
Please allow me to end this thread by saying thanks to all that were kind enough to post. I can deal with spam, I can deal with the insults, and I certainly dont want bad blood here. I apologize to anyone that may have been offended - not what I ever intended. Spam is a part of life and looks like me and my delete button will be very very good friends.... Let's all move on. I certainly have learned alot from posting this thread. THanks |

What did I deny? When did I pat myself on the back? Yes, I am special. That's what mom says anyway. Were you trying to get the last word? Oh, sorry. |
No - I was apologizing for even starting this thread. I was pissed - let's drop it.

Hello webslave,
Before the hole gets dug too deep to easily climb from, it might be worth looking into how spammers operate. One thing that some do is generate lists of words that are then tacked onto every "@somedomain.com" their bots can find. It's possible that your email address was 'magically' created in just this way. And if you opened even one of their spam messages, it's possible that it had a tiny bit of code that identified your address to the spammer as a live one. I'm not saying this is what happened with you. But it's happened to many of my addresses over the years, including ones that I'd created but hadn't ever used anywhere yet. You've received some good advice in this thread. I'm just going to add that in today's world, if you're not already receiving thousands of spam emails a day, then you're nowhere near your potential in the adult biz. :) Simon P.S. I didn't see that there was a second page to this thread before I posted. So I guess I need to add that knowing UW as I do, it wouldn't have bothered me at all if he called me a cunt. He really does love that word. And a newbie... well, I call myself an 'elder noob' on some other board titles, so that wouldn't have done it either. Personally, I'd be more concerned with the 'ignorant' and 'whiney' words. YMMV |
