What I don't understand is why do believers of Jesus seem to like the idea of killing innocent people, torture and many human rights abuses.

Sadaam is on trial for the deaths of 3,000 people during a civil war when he used gas that he got from the USA. The followers of Jesus do not seem to mind that 40,000 to 100,000 or more civilians have been killed because of the US invasion of Iraq. They long ago gave up even discussing Iraq being a threat to the USA since the administration finally had to admit that no weapons were found and no ties to terrorists organizations existed.

"Canada is lucky we don't blow them off the face of the map."

"We should not talk to Iran we should nuke them."

"We should make North Korea glow."

I've read about Jesus and he was not a man of war but for some reason his followers are all about war. You would think that followers of Jesus would accept war only as a last resort instead of an emotional response to people being different.

What am I missing here?

People read into the bible what they want to read and twist it around to their way of thinking.. (similar to the Koran which doesn't promote jihad)

they tried it with interracial marriage, they tried it with being gay, they tried it with women's rights .. none of which had any basis in fact.

but as long as sheeple *winking at tart* continue to let others think for them instead of thinking for themselves their will always be people like Hitler and Bush to rally those who think they are being disenfrachised.

George Bush is a big poofta.

But Jesus has atom bombs for balls.

Some time back there was a thread on religion on this board. It got a bit heated but one thing that did come to light was that a lot of people who post here believe in Jesus. So you are saying that a lot of members of this board are "really stupid"?

tickler,

very nice link, thanks. Someone loaned me a book awhile back called The Iron Triangle. Forgot who wrote it but discussed how gov contracts go out and how many tied to bush were/are with carlyle and halliburton and the amount of money within contracts for out of date weapons. So this just adds to it.
