This attitude always surprises me. I may only be paying $20 a month, but damn right I can complain. When I sign up, there are certain services and features that I'm supposed to get and if I don't get them, I don't care if I'm paying $20 or $200 - it's my money, I'm not going to throw it away just because it's not a lot.

Webair is a decent host - you'll always find someone with a story no matter who the host is. They've been good to me, no downtime, upgraded my package when the package changed (and yes, I did ask) and support is very good.

no offense intended to anyone :D

My point is this Ponygirl. If you buy a Yugo you can't expect the reliability of Benz. The old saying goes you get what you pay for. If you pay cheap or below market expectations you are going to get that type of service. Complaining about it does nothing but give you a headache and the service still your money. Like I said before, in this business you can't afford to go down. Go down one day and that can mean $10, $20, $100 in sign ups. That's worth the $10 hosting fee? Think about it. It costs $10 the pills to get rid of the headache. The pepto to get rid of the stomach ache cost just as much. The rep you lose for having sites show up 404 is priceless and then you have to run on a board an blame it all on the hosting service. I'm not saying everyone should run out and buy $100 hosting, but when you start nickel and dimeing hosting cost then fact is you’re hurting for money to start. If you have to care about $20 more per month in order to sacrifice your users experience then you should take a step back and think of why you are in this business. I have heard nothing but ok things about this company. Nothing stellar and I was hosted on them for about 24 hours so I have experienced their support and have said in the past that it’s great. But in my experience I would never pay for their service again. I would not take it if it was free. But that’s just me, I care about my sites loading fast and never being down. You sound like the rare ones on this board who never had an issue with them. But hey if you do I hear Go Daddy is really really cheap.

I know, I'm a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for' too. My point is that if you're promised certain services, you should get them - no matter how much or little you're paying for it. To some people, $20 is a lot of money, and it doesn't mean they're not serious about their business. If a host tells me they have 24/7 customer support well then they better damn well answer me at 3am when I'm having a problem :)

Every host is going to have downtime, I don't care what they say - shit happens. How a host deals with problems is very important to me. That's why I say what I do about Webair, they've handled all of my inquiries quickly and efficiently. (and I really have not had any downtime anyway)

If I had lots of $$ then I'd be with Colo (someday!) but right now I need the best deal for my money, not the cheapest, but the best. Webair has that.

and I wouldn't touch Godaddy with someone else's 10 ft pole :D

As far as I'm concerned, Webair is awesome. Tech support is great and any billing issues get resolved right away. Here is the real kicker: they talk TO you like real human beings and NOT AT you like some other hosting companies out there. Good Luck :)

I've had a dedicated server at Webair for many years and haven't had any trouble. I find their support very pleasant and helpful.

A few teething problems when first moving there but since, all good in the hood ;)
