Don't look at it like that brother. Look at it as inspiration for another poem|potleaf|

No, Trev, this is not an election. You can not write in the Browns as one of your picks.

We have 30 entered and the official page is up to date.

I am in. How about a skin a piece?

I'll pick up my winnings right after the Super Bowl. |couch|

Are you SURE that you want to ask a redneck that question? There's a very good chance that the translation is literal :D

Deer season at that time is limited to primitive weapons though, so you all may be out of luck unless you're real handy with a slingshot.

btw- a skin = $100

Greenguy 2007-01-05 10:19 AM

I was thinking that a "skin" would be the going price for some poor animal's hide :D

Chop Smith 2007-01-05 11:27 AM

Hey I am up and running. So GG ignore my message on your voice mail.

Within the next 26 minutes I need picks from five of you that said you wanted in the contest. Get your ass in gear.

I know, I know, but I'm having problems getting it in gear today. I think the transmission is shot. |loony|

Sorry. I still think that the redneck language is universal. I think it does have something to betting on deer hunting. Around these woods, a 'skin' means $100.

So is it $100 for the contest or $100 for each round?

I always thought $100 was a c-note :)

We understand that also. Check you PMs

Chop Smith 2007-01-05 04:04 PM

The picks are up. I might have to add a coulple of people that are not eligible for the $400.

I think I have them recorded correctly but look them over careful. If I am notified of any mistakes prior to tomorrow games, I will correct them.

The odd makers like Indy, Seattle, New England and Philly.

USA Today picks Indy, Dallas, New England and Philly.

The forecasting engine that simulates each game one play at a time for 10,000 times has it as:
Kansas City Chiefs (32%) Indianapolis Colts (68%)
Dallas Cowboys (50%) Seattle Seahawks (50%)
New York Jets (20%) New England Patriots (80%)
New York Gaints (33%) Philadelphia Eagles (67%)

The experts at Greenguy and Jim sees it like this:
Kansas City Chiefs (7) Indianapolis Colts (22)
Dallas Cowboys (12) Seattle Seahawks (17)
New York Jets (4) New England Patriots (25)
New York Gaints (4) Philadelphia Eagles (25)
Greenie and I agree that this will be a bad weekend for Archie's boys. I think that the Seahawks will be ready for any team that Dallas puts on the field. Watch Parcells to join Cowher in retiring.

dareutwo 2007-01-05 04:23 PM

Simon - T Pat???
Jets AND Giants? Must be an NYC thing.
Figured Lorsha would go with the Giants.

According to Chop's simulated stats lol
The only one I'm out a limb on is KC, since Seatle/Dallas is 50 50.
If KC can control the ball and score running it, Payton won't be on the field much. And don't count out the KC recievers, Indy does not have a good defense.

Parcells already retired, so this will be 2nd retirement after 13 years :)

plateman 2007-01-05 04:43 PM

dam it looks like I missed it and am out

I figure the only way I have a chance in a football pool against Ramster is if every game is an upset, so I went 100% underdogs |huh
Don't know what Simon is thinking |loony|

I took the easy way...went with favorites across the board. But one never knows...the 'Any Given Sunday' thing can crop up at any time |banghead|

Ya, like the Cowboys actually winning a game. :D

Simon 2007-01-06 05:56 AM

I told Chop my system when I placed my bets. Since I haven't followed football in a lot of years, I put the eight names on little pieces of paper, folded 'em up, held them in one hand (I couldn't find a Crown Royal bag) and pulled them out one at a time with the other until I had the four picks. I promise to laugh very hard if they win.
