Surfn, are you signed up with hunkmoney yet? We had a bit of a discussion in a previous thread, that was the one that prompted me to get some hosted free sites up. If they are successful for you, I can make more hosted free sites and get the new link codes to you by the beginning of next week.

One question, would you prefer basic sites or ones with fancy splash pages and fancy galleries?

Somebody help me understand this, why would anyone consider sponsor hosted free sites. I can understand using sponsor hosted galleries on big traffic TGP's, but come on, how much BW can a free site burn? Also, I'm pretty sure it can turn up better ratios per visitor than a TGP gallery. Furthermore, if your sponsor hosts it for you then I'm pretty sure you lose any chance of having it spidered by a search engine bot and eventually picking up some of that sweet traffic... However, if any sponsor will give me pre-made free sites instead, I'll be happy to take them off their hands. :D

Speaking of which, TFCash.com have pre-made free sites. ;)

not to mention some people simply no longer have the time to sit around and build sites and work the engines as much, they figure hell Ill take the possible $40 Payout from using Extreme Paychecks free hosted sites, and it's easy.

Anyway, yes, I did consider the ease that sponsor hosted free sites bring into the life of the ones linking to them, just thought it would be worth a lot more in the long run to have the sites hosted yourself. Of course, that also depends on the alternative cost for the time invested in this, which I presume is higher than the potential income for many involved.

Another thing to consider is why are we in this biz? To make money. Who knows better than a sponsor what sells their stuff. So if you are sending traffic to sites they make your chances of doing well should improve.

I beg to differ. I've seen sponsors' sites that couldn't sell a roasted turkey to a starving man on Thanksgiving day. Yes, most sponsors know what works for them and their sites, but there are still sponsors out there who flunked marketing 101 and started a webmaster program instead. But yes, you're right, at least in theory. ;)

It's ok, I have no reason not to take your word for it. I guess we both have to accept that there are positive and negative things and you can have either, depending on the situation. ;)

I'm adding on average 10-15 sponsor hosted free sites each day. It'd take me a few hours to make them, as opposed to a few minutes to add them :)

Plus it's not like I'm not making my own sites as well, just that the hosted free sites are quick & easy & make me a nice chunk of change (Hell, my Extreme Paychecks account doubled since they added the hosted free sites)

Besides, most of the SE stuff I do is on the root of the domains anyway :D

Cool, so it's basically a good pay-off for a few minutes of extra work and it can be done in addition to one's own sites. Fair enough, thank you all for taking the time to explain it to me.

I can make a free site everyday and then add 1 or 2 free hosted sites as well so now I have double or triple the chance for sales. It's a no brainer to add free hosted sites.

Greenguy, Buff handles all of our new affiliates and we do go through an approval process for most people. I usually catch people we know and approve them. I went ahead and approved your account. Let me know if there is anything else you need. And we have free hosted galleries but no free sites, something I need to work on adding.
