oh yeah :) that thing kicks serious ass. I've been using it for over a year now I think.

Simon I know what you are saying about starting and stopping points. I go thru the 40-80 or however many clips I have after chopping up a movies and pick out the best ones. Also I know absolutely nothing about Macs, but I'm fairly certain that I've read somewhere most mac users have the capabilities to view wmv files.

Yes, they can. But they really need Flip4Mac to view them in their browsers, and if DRM (digital rights management) code has been added to the WMVs they won't play. There are a lot of movie galleries that have WMVs that Mac users can't play. Unfortunate for Mac users but good for webmasters who capitalize on the statistic.

:)

third note: Think about who owns the Mac you're ignoring... at some colleges the ratio is more like 40% Mac users. And things like torrent use are lower among Mac users, which explains why the iTunes movie and video store was such a success immediately.

You can custom split any sections you want with it, but what I use is the auto splitter. Say I have a 20 minute movie that I want 20 second clips to use to make free sites. I set it to split it into 60 clips and it cuts the whole 20 minute movie into 60 20 second clips. Its by far the easiest and quickest way I have ever found to make clips. The process takes less than a minute.

Can you add several 1 minute clips in and do that at once or is it only one movie at a time?

Mr Exotic 2008-02-15 10:58 PM

Just one at a time

damn, that's a shame...that software is like a grand slam when it comes to splitting...I was using videocharge but the wmv file I was working with came out like shit...videocharge is still awesome for making fast production screenshots, but splitting, it kind of sucked on...thanks for the answer...maybe I'll just pony up for this one and use them both...this one is nice....
