She's kinda hot. I think McCain just lost the election, though.

She's 44 years old and has five children. In April of this year she gave birth to her the youngest child, who unfortunately has Down syndrome.

Here's what causes me to question her judgment:

From Wikipeda... "Maternal age influences the chances of conceiving a baby with Down syndrome. At maternal age 20 to 24, the probability is one in 1562; at age 35 to 39 the probability is one in 214, and above age 45 the probability is one in 19."

What's a woman who's 43 years old and already has 4 children doing having another child when the risk of Down syndrome is so high?

She seems a little more self-obessed and selfish than I'm comfortable with as the second in line to be the leader of our country...

Well, I think if she wants to have kids with downs syndrome, thats her business.

What I don't understand is how the hell can someone have 5 kids, one an infant with special needs and be a heartbeat away from the Presidnecy. McCain just turned 72, so I think his VP pick matters a little more than Barack's. Does a mother with these kinds of responsibilites really need to take on a 24 hour a day job? This is the republicans and their "family values" |shocking|

I totally agree that it's her choice, and her business. It just shows a lack of good judgment IMHO.

Let's hope that a majority of Americans recognize what a poor choice McCain made and vote accordingly.

well as my point of view this is a pretty nice move of mccain to help his candidacy for the upcoming election.

She knew in her 2nd trimester that her fetus had Downs and choose to keep it anyway. Her body, her choice. But as typical with the Pro-Life crowd..they are all about birthing but once they are born ..Oh What to do? What to do?? Oh wait.. I can run for VP and escape my Maternal responsibilities for the next 4 months. and maybe 4 years ...

So much for her being in with the "family values"...

and I still cannot understand those Pro-"LIFERS" that are also Pro-Death penalty. Once again..its all about giving birth but nothing about what happens after that cord is cut. If you are PRO-LIFE ..doesn't that mean Cradle to grave???

I love how she said she's going to blast through the 18,000 cracked glass ceiling that Hilliary did. LIKE WTF..Obviously she's ignorant of her own party.. Margaret Chase Smith Shattered that when she was elected in 1940. and Geraldine Ferraro who ran as Vice President in 1984.

I still say the whole thing is a set up.. orchestrated by the Republicans. Of all the viable candidates, McCain was the least electable yet he won. Then he picks Anne Oakley as his running mate to ensure an Obama win. As a country, we have a very short memory. The damage done over the last 4 years is not going to be repaired on January 21st 2009. It's going to take a long time. And I do think things are going to get worse. We haven't seen even but the tip of the housing crisis. In 2009 and 2010 almost 2x the number of "interest only" ARMS are going to adjust that we had in 2007. and by 2010 we'll (collectively as a country) will be blaming Obama for all our 'troubles". That way the Rep. can SWEEP in 2012.. 8 more years.

*climbs down off her soap box*

Or maybe she was just covering for her pregnant, underage daughter?

Yeah, good post...

The thing I find most troubling is the Supreme Court appointments. The court has already shifted far right under Bush, and McCain would make matters even worse. These are not the socially libertarian type consevatives, but the ones that want to protect us from porn, gay marriage, and other Bible based horseshit they can push through.

I agree, last night, I went to dinner with MadHatter who had steak, I don't care he eats it, but don't ask me to, lol. And I could never abort a child, but I would defend someone who wanted too.

I can't even imagine trying to be a mother for 5 kids, let alone doing it while being VP, that is just insane. Maybe she thinks well I'll have the best nannies in the world to take care of my special needs child for at least the next 4 years....

covering up for her daughter is the only thing that makes since.
Some high definition photos of her squirting milk out of her tits is the only way I'm going to believe it's really her kid |huh

Today on "Meet the Press" Brokaw read a quote from Palin's mother in law:

"I am still stunned over Obama’s speech, I am not sure who I will vote for, and I am not really sure what she brings to the table other than being a female".

docholly 2008-08-31 03:19 PM

Looks like Tina Fey will be visiting SNL over the coming weeks.

Torn Rose 2008-08-31 03:24 PM

I also find McBush’s whole VP search to be as “interesting” as Bush’s. They had some GOP’ers on “Meet the Press” today who said McBush has been fighting hard to have Joe Lieberman as his VP and finally came to terms last Monday that it couldn’t be Joe and that he has only personally met Palin 2 times and both of them was very brief so he is taking the word of his staff to making a huge decision like this which was made Wednesday night.

So in 2 days he went from “It must be Joe” to “What’s her name?”

I think this is going to turn out biting McBush on the ass since this is just more examples of his “leadership”. This election went from “Mavrick” vs “Change” to “Same Shit, Different Day” vs “Change” I don’t think I have ever seen such 2 drastically different policies going head to head like this. Too bad McBush sold out to get the nomination, I never agreed with everything he said and did, but at least he was somewhat trustworthy.

RIP McCain 2000
Rot in Hell McBush 2008.

My father, who is a die-hard Republican even though he's never stopped to consider the fact that his own beliefs don't mesh with his party, was just singing the praises of Obama last night at dinner after hearing Obama's speech at the convention. Suddenly, my fairly racist redneck father respects the hell out of Obama and likes him more with each thing he learns about him.

Both parties are pandering fucktards to their own special intrest. Hell in the last election we had two candidates that were members of the same secret society . . .Hello?

That said . . . I'd fuck her silly!

If the Republicans got over the whole "family values" thing, they wouldn't be so bad. I just can't believe there are people who are more worried about fetuses being aborted and gay people getting married then they are $4/gallon gas and unnecessary wars.

clubvin 2008-09-01 02:11 AM

she is ROCKING, She is STAR. She is ON FIRE.
She has that something extra that all republicans hated but admired in Bill Clinton and loved and admired in Ronald Reagan.

What I don't get is the people who call her "hot" and a "babe". To me, a 44 year old mother of five is far from what I'd consider "hot".

Considering the attached pic, she looks more like her husband's mother than his wife.

She's anti-abortion and pro-death penalty, as well as pro-gun and supports teaching creationism in public schools. |crazy|

Do we really need another backwards, redneck hypocrite in the executive office? I say NO!!

This 54 year old man thinks she's hot as hell as long as she keeps her mouth shut (the pitch of her voice reminds me of fingernails on a chalk board).
I do agree she is a friggin hypocrite that should be at home taking care of her herd of kids instead of politicking
