Florida's ballot was confusing to say the least.
It was hard to tell whether a Yes vote meant you were for the bill, or, were for removing the provision from the constitution. I would suspect that too many Floridians didn't quite understand what they were voting for. They need to simplify things and say: Do you want to allow same sex marriages? Yes or No Do you want to tax the improvements to the home for storm preparedness or energy conservation? Yes or No America surprised me last night. Deep down I had a feeling of -- what people will tell the pollsters and what they will actually do at the poll are two different things. I sort of felt Obama would lead in the polls, but lose the actual election not because of principles, but because of the color of his skin or his heritage. Lets hope the transition team is treated more fairly than when Clinton was elected and hopefully we'll see a brighter future much closer on the horizon. |

Got a bunch of work to take care of today. Which has increased a little this morning with the aebn hosted movie updates. :)
At some point today I need to get around to running some errands around town. Hopefully go and pick up some checks. That would be nice. Also, have to book a room for a trip in a few weeks. Was suppose to be about seeing my lady's brother, but his aunt and uncle kicked him back to Tucson to live with his grandma. So with nonrefundable tickets looks like the trip has become more of a vacation now. Which is alright, but kinda sacrificed new years plans to make this trip happened. So I'm a little bugged by the outcome of things. Just going to make the best of things and just party out once I get there. A very happy hump day. |

Florida, Virginia, Indiana, most likely North Carolina :)
Even such Red Bastions as Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada! But also saw an amazing stat (though sadly not that surprising) in that in the deep south Barrack did not take one single county :( Every Dem candidate has always taken some counties each election even though losing the states as a whole resoundingly (hell even Dukakis did), but not one single county went to Obama this time...couldn't be because he is an African American could it? |
