I do run around 5 blogs in niches where I consider myself an outstanding expert. On those blogs I just write once a month or two, but I consider my articles useful to the surfer. Traffic to the blogs is very stable and they do create solid sales and even better rebills. I put a lot of effort into research and it's fun. You could say it's very easy money for me and there is no stress.

On the other side, I have around 60 sBlogs. Traffic is ok and they do generate sales, but it's more of a struggle to keep new posts coming and I have to force myself to work on them. It's kinda hard to make coin with them and sometimes I have a hard time of motivating me to work on them.

I guess I will rather concentrate on a small amount of blogs and do them well, rather than expand the amount of sites.

I have a handful of blogs I still update when the mood strikes me. But mostly I am using wordpress as a CMS to build more or less "static" sites.

On a side note- nice to see you're still around Walrus ol' Buddy!

What tgp is that that eccepts your single post pages? Because I'm looking for places to submit gallery pages I build using nexgen gallery wordpress plugin!

I already submit them to persiankitty and get 5 to 10 thousand hits a day from there and I also post them over at foobies.com and you can pull upwards of 10000 hits a day if they post your link now I may have to submit 2 or 3 galleries before I get 1 listed but it worth the time if for no reason but the traffic you get because you can feed your trades and build your trades to get even more traffic!

So let me know about this Tgp your submitting blog post to....thanks!

thewiz 2010-07-01 02:35 PM

Well if anyone here is blogging I'm looking for blogs that would be willing to exchange submitters accounts(make user an author) with me! Now I use wordpress on my blog Fantasy Babes Blog and will set you up a user account and give you author rights which means you can post content on my site if you will do the same for me!

if interested in this idea contact me on Icq 428213733 or email me at webmaster@fantasybabes.info and lets work out the details!

Sure, I do. I've done 35 blogs in 3 days. If you do it long enough and be patient, you will reap what you sow. The key here is patience.

I'm still writing them. Adult blogging should really be left for adult models. Anything else is an outdated tumbleweed advertisement on some blog directory that no one reads. Blogs were intended to be diaries, at least make them creative. :)

Regards,

Creating 35 blogs in 3 days isn't really blogging. It's using a blog type of script to fill the interweb with a bunch more pages. No offense intended but in actuality your simply using the blogging script to simplify site building.

Nothing wrong with that, it's just not what I'd call a blog.

I disagree to some extent. I will agree that the stuff that most of the stuff thats getting generated is crap and is nowhere near a blog. Just because you use a blog script doesn't mean your creating a blog.

But I think blogging, in and of itself, grew well beyond just being a diary. I think people learned they could use blogs for various other things. Such as news, entertainment, etc. and I do believe that it is possible to create adult blogs that entertain.

yes, I still do blogs. Porn blogs, in fact. I hope it's ok, but if anyone is interested: http://www.69mob.com/blog/

Well I'm blogging a lot, I think I spend at least 30 minutes daily by posting on my blog(s).

I started my webmaster career by opening a blog on a free blog hosting site (blogger.com) and I started to enjoy it. I've placed CPM ads on the site and advertised it a lot so after 2 months I was able to cash out. After having 20$ in my PayPal account I have decided to buy domain and paid hosting for my blog and I have exported the articles to my new blog (witch had better design) and I started to earn more and more. I have seen that optimizing the website may help me to bring me more traffic and I started to do on and offpage optimization and my rankings really increased. After this I have decided to launch a website, now a better one because I had more than 100$ in my PP account. The second site has small success (PC Blog) and that's why I've decided to become an "adult webmaster".

I'm actually headed the opposite direction. It actually began to seem a little silly to me to be beating my head against the wall by trying to sell things that are pretty easy to find for free just using google.

I still have adult sites and I will continue to build them but I'm definitely putting more time in promoting some mainstream sites.

Sad to say blogging has now become a business...

I don't automate and have quite a few blogs...

I'd love to find the time to go back to the old days - with 300 to 500 words per post...

Whilst 99.9% of my blogs are handwritten - the writing is 15 to 25 one line pic captions...

It might give me a slight edge over the splogs and sploggers - but the sheer volume of bollox blogs on the net mean half decent blogs get snowed under...

So I just filter my traffic around my own network - anything else is a bonus...

As to real blogging - the closest I've come recently is updating my pet dog blog lol and maybe writing complete shit in a mainstream sales blog...

I have a couple of domains - one being a rant style - that might get my writing juices flowing - but quite honestly by the time I've written "this babes tits are hot" a hundred different ways in a morning writing is the last thing I want to do lol...

Holy fuck I've become a human splogger ha ha...

walrus 2010-08-21 09:18 PM

Nice to see you got lost in this neck of the woods Flip. BTW mate, don't sell your short little sentences short. I know you can say in 10 words what takes me 50. The length of the post isn't the important thing.

The old days of blogging do seem to have gone by... and while my writing skills seem to have deteriorated through the excessive use of terms like nice tits and petite ass, I still dream of the old times when I could string together a string of sentences that would piss half the readers off while the other half were laughing their asses off.

Ha ha ha.

I don't get these so called "porn blogs". Maintaining one blog is a lot of work. So when I hear people say they have 10 or 50 or a 'network' I secretly wonder how many people they have on staff. God bless those sploggers.

Like BadWolf I guess I will also say Yep.

Last year was biggest $$$ year ever.

I will disclaim though that my blogs *ARE* - with careful research and keyword-rich handwritten posts - SE sites. I still however play the role of 'knowledgable webmaster host' who is there to entertain and inform the surfer.

With that said very little is actually given away and the surfer is always encouraged to go to where "the good stuff" is - ie. the high-quality, niche paysite where I GET PAID WHEN THEY SIGNUP.

Most traffic is from Google and other search engines.

I recently hired a friend to make posts for me, and will probably introduce her into the adult webmastering biz (for herself) through blogging... although I don't know what the future holds for it. I imagine it will always be pretty good as traffic is entirely based on SE traffic with link pop coming from my own network plus a smattering of link trades w/other blogs, LL's and blog directories.

If anyone would like some advice or like to make some link trades shoot me a PM or reply here or you can e-mail me also. (It could be some time before I reply 'cuz I am travelling... ... |waves|)

Absolutely still blogging. There's a lot of money to be made out there if you keep at it and build a long lasting blog that has some value.

Original content is the key.

I currently have about ten in total.

It's actually not that difficult to maintain them. All you're doing is posting content once or twice a day. That takes maybe an hour or two.

Once the initial setting up/design is done, what else is there to do to them than adding content?

I think that's why so many people have quite a few blogs. I know I get bored, and I love design. So when I have a couple of hour free I build a new blog about something I enjoy.

I guess it helps if you're a writer. I can add a completely original post to a site with 300 word copy in about five minutes. Easy after a while.
