I agree |pissed| I'm going to get the numbers from my bank this morning and if it doesn't work I won't be making phone calls. Instead I will post notices on ALL the webmaster boards I know of, warning people who may be duped by them.

epassporte lies...what next?

Dr. Bizzaro,

My apologies to you for any confusion associated with your call to ePassporte customer service. It sounds as though your call went to a rep that may not have been updated regarding the new ACH capabilities.

The ACH load and withdraw feature is functional and working. It is not a demo. It is, however, a special promotion (at this time) being offered solely in the adult space where ePassportes features are being developed based on this markets specific needs.

I signed up myself, received the 2 credits into my bank account, and verified without any problem. My bank account is now linked to ePassporte and I can load my ePassporte account from my bank account or move money from ePassporte to my bank account.

We have tested the verification process extensively and have not been able to recreate the problem you experienced. I recommend that you try again and if you experience the same problem please contact me directly so we can have the logs checked and see what specifically is happening that is causing your verification to fail.

How long does it take before the deposits go into your bank? I filled out the form two days ago and still havent seen any deposits to my bank account to verify. ( I do have the verify Now logo in my account however)

Greenguy 2004-06-09 02:35 PM

I just emailed cs@epassporte.com via the ePassporte email area (cause I learned the hard way they don't talk to you about your account unless you email them from their email - see my post above - LOL) so let's see if we can get this resolved :)

It depends on the bank but typically 3 business days is average. You should not have to wait more than 5 days, again, depending on the bank.

Rand, Thanks for the reply....

I just logged in to try again.
On the withdraw screen, my only option is to add a bank account. (Which I already tried to do.)
No sign of my account or any way to withdraw funds.

On the Add funds/Reload screen, instead of the "you have punched in the wrong info" warning I got before, I not get an option for my bank account. (As well as my credit card)

So it looks like my account has actually been added.

BUT, I am not looking to add funds to the account. I am trying to withdraw them.

How exactly do I do that? Am I missing something?

is this good for transferring funds to a third party account?

Hello Rand,

Let me state that at this point it’s not fully clear to me if this is good for transferring funds to a third party account in order to fulfill payments, and if with this form of payment (that third party that receives our payment by this feature) will be totally confident that we WOULD NOT be able to dispose of the funds in their account (due that their bank account is linked to our Epassporte account). To put it more clear, that this third party (and us) could be totally confident that we just would be able to send money to their account, but not to make use of the funds in their linked bank account.

Thanks for your answer.

Just To update everyone I got the deposits today. went and verified and am making my first transfer now. It seems to have gone through without a hitch. Off course I cant be 100% sure untill I see the money in my bank account.

Dr Bizzario
To transfer funds to your bank you click the link that says "withdraw" on the top menu bar. That takes you to the page where you can do the transfer.

Yes, that is where I assumed it would be. But when I click that, I get the "Add Bank Account for Electronic Transfers", with the form (that I already filled out last week) I ahve no other options on that page, then to fill out the form and verify my bank account again.
The same account that now appears on the "load" page...

I don't know if it's a comedy of errors, a contest to see how many hoops they can make me jump thru or just plain old crappy customer support.

After reading DrB's post about his phone call to the ePassporte customer support line & seeing as they stated that I had to email or call them, I choose email. The email I sent is posted above. 30 hours later I get this reply:

Dear Cardholder,

If you would like another verification attempt, please call our Cardholder
Services Center at any of the numbers listed below for further assistance.

Thank you for using ePassporte.

This is twice that I've been told by the error notices on their website to contact cs@epassporte.com & each time I do, I'm told that's not how I'm supposed to do it |banghead|

Anyone wanna bet the customer support rep I call tomorrow has no clue what I'm talking about? :D

Greenguy 2004-06-16 08:45 AM

Well, I guess sometimes things work themselves out.

Since I had a lot of free time yesterday, I decided to call ePassporte to get my problem cleared up. I decided to log into my account, since I assumed they'd be asking me questions on it & I wanted to have the info in front of me. Well, I went to the area for my bank & much to my surprise, it was approved & active - LOL

I guess the next thing would be to try & transfer money :D

That's good! |shake| Time to transfer!

Realize that the U.S. ACH system is not instant. The 2 deposits, the transfers, etc.. take 3-5 business days on average. Can be more with certain banks.

MR KONG 2004-06-22 10:25 PM

will try to tranfer money 11 days ago and still have not got it yet call customer service and the guy told me that he cant anwser my question and put me on hold and come back in said that they dont have that option to withdraw to a checking account and dont know were my money is anyone else having the problem |angry|

Surfn 2004-06-22 10:44 PM

Then something is wrong. The deposits to verify your bank account should not take more than 2-3 business days.

The most likely problem would be that the account number was entered incorrectly.

Surfn, please drop me an email with your ePassporte username. I want to look at this and see what happened.

SUCCESS!

I just made my first successful transfer. Finally....

Hey Rand, I was assessed a $2 fee for my $100 transfered.
Is this a flat rate of $2 or is it a 2% fee?

The site said nothing of a fee until after I submitted the transfer. But even then, it just said $2. (Not 2%)

Let me know.

Nice!

Business account transfers are $2 regardless of the amount. So, you can tranfer a buck or $10,000 for the same $2 fee. Transfers are instant and global. There are no percentage costs for transfers and the receiver pays nothing to accept the payment.

Must be nice, I have tried 3 times on 3 different days and it wouldnt go through even though I confirmed all my stuff. Not to mention what a crock that you can only transfer a certain amount. I guess I need to call and get my limits raised or something as the cs@epassporte.com response was basically to call after waiting a day or so for a response.

NOTE: Just realized I quoted rands response when I wanted to quite DrB's response about making the transfer successfully! My stuff is all approved, just cannot transfer to my bank for some reason.

Greenguy 2004-06-23 04:22 PM

Rand - what the %'s & limits on personal accounts?

My account is under Greenguy Marketing Inc but I never did anything special to have a "business account" so I really have no idea if I have one or not - LOL

Something about what you saying here is confusing. You can not currently make multiple attemtps at linking your bank account to ePassporte. The system is set (at this time) to allow you only one shot at linking any account. If you make a mistake, you need to contact me to have your eP account reset so you can attempt again.

No as I stated in my follow up. My epassporte is linked to my bank account fine, I just cannot transfer money from epassporte to my bank. Everytime I try it says something along the lines of "We cannot process the transfer at this time..."

My NOTE on my last post read

That explains what I just said. I try to do a transfer and it just keeps erroring out although my acct is all setup for it and my initial deposit amounts to confirm my bank acct etc has all been completed. So for some reason I cannot transfer money from epassporte to my bank acct as I am supposed to.

Business accounts require a signed contract and a wire transfer so I'm sure you have a personal account.

Personal Accounts Fees are as Follows:

$5 annual fee for an ePassporte Virtual Visa account (waived when you first open an account)

$5 to load your account (per $100 or portion thereof when loading by credit card)

$2 to load your account from any U.S. checking account (in any amount you wish).

25 cents to transfer money to any other ePassporte account holder (yeah, done instantly anywhere in the world for less than the price of a postage stamp). I think this is ePassporte's strongest feature. Checks really do become obsolete.

$35 annual fee for an Electron Card. -- Remember, ePassporte is not a credit card so there is no interest. Your Virtual account and Electron card are linked so your balance can be spent with either account number.

FREE - Check your balance, transfer funds, relolad your ePassporte account all from your cell phone with TEXT MONEY.
There are no additional charges to have all of this functionality from your mobile phone no matter where you are.
Just imagine the possibilities.

Good stuff.

Sorry, I missed that entirely.

Can you send me your eP username and let me see if I can find out why your attempts failed.

I have yet to have any problem. Yeah, it takes a few days but there's nothing that can be done about that. It's just the way ACH works.
