He (fetishcrawler.com) might have gotten the domain back, many of us did. I got gaypervs.com back some time ago after I found a valid email address and e-mailed the guy to get the domain back. Within a day he gave me the login information to his godaddy account and I had the domain back.

Useless 2005-04-03 10:00 AM

Yes, this is an old as thread, but I'd like to know the current status of fetishcrawler.com and pornfresh. From this post I'm betting that pornfresh.com is permanently stolen. I can make my script reject sites that have links to poisonous domains. I don't want to list anyone who's submitting to cocksuckers.

I don't think so, you can look at this page

Damn, this thread is scary... I've got domains on goaddy and they are locked but it doesn't sound like that would stop a determined thief scumbag very long.... is this still a problem with godaddy or has it been worked out?

ronnie 2005-04-03 01:22 PM

This is the first I am hearing of this. Your domain gets hijacked, you should let your trades know, I never got anything. Last time this happened, I got the links down quickly. Funny I just got an e-mail from "porn fresh" about changing their site around and need to change cat links. Gee, wonder why.

Not the first time I've seen this happen with godaddy, beware if you have domains with them.

I am still new to this biz, but fuck I am blown away that this actually happens.

The shit people do when they are hiding behind there computer screen, it fucking pisses me off.

SandWalker 2005-04-03 11:17 PM

I just bought some domains that are on GoDaddy, which I hate. Now they say I have to wait 60 days to transfer to a real registrar.

Has anyone heard of this site or something like it? I was considering trying them out...

Thats bullshit, they are saying 60 days because they want to piss you off or they are trying to keep the domain longer, maybe to renew? Never heard of a good registrar doing that. From what I've heard of them, guess it's not surprizing...:(

Never heard of the one your asking about.

Recommend me a new registrar to transfer all my domains please, I have all my domains on godaddy.com :(

All I want is a good cpanel cause I know shit about dns and stuff like that (but Im good att filling out forms....) and a fair domainprice.

/Thomas

Wenchy 2005-04-04 06:58 AM

Wow. I originally hit "post reply" to answer Thomas' question... then it suddenly hit me that announcing who my registrar is in a public forum probably isn't in compliance with the CYA recommendations above and might not be in my best interest.

Helluva note when you become too paranoid to even do business in the manner to which you have become accustomed. I hope the fuckwits who pull this kind of shit can sleep at night, bcuz those of us who consider ourselves the "good guys" are losing plenty wondering what they're up to this time and how long it will be before it's us starting threads like this one. Cripes |banghead|

Edited to add: Thomas, if you are still interested, feel free to send me a PM and I'll be happy to share my info with you |cool|

I've been using http://www.100megsdomains.com/ for three years. They're an Enom reseller, so the control is excellent and you have full control. I'd suggest any Enom reseller with the best price as they all use the same Enom backend.

Maybe 'cause NetSol is perfectly happy to have disreputable registrars in existence, in hopes that people will agree to pay 3 times as much to use NetSol as their registrar.

With the registrar you just enter your dns numbers and thats it. Any other dns stuff is done through the cpanel of your server/hosting account.

I just had a thought. I read in this thread that GoD*ddy is not willing to honor a printed receipt as proof of a WM having registered a domain. My thought was that IF the domain purchase was made with a CC, wouldn't that constitute fraud on the part of GD?!? The CC transaction date would be "set in stone" on bank records and CC statements and, provided the WM in question has a copy of GD's terms (X dollars for one year), I would think that would be proof positive of the original registration... and how could GD ignore a CC transaction?

Like I said just a thought... maybe it'll be enough to save somebody having to go through nine miles of bullshit to get their domain back |thumb

msanchez 2005-04-04 08:00 PM

I pulled some of my links today. Sorry to hear this. Ill keep working on pulling the rest of them.

Good luck

Dagwolf 2005-04-05 07:12 AM

This is pretty ugly. I've got to stop putting off changing my passwords and get organized. I usually use a few passwords for everything (categorized by importance, low security, medium and high security) but all it takes is to use the same password in two places and you're screwed if one of them's crooked...

I just finished reading this thread and boy am I shocked! |shocking|

I'm gonna pull all my links to fetishcrawler asap!

By the way, I want to move a few domains that are coming up for renewal from one registrar to another registrar. What is the process involved?

Unfortunately pornfresh is still stolen and will probably stay that way :(
I have email the thief nicely, neutral and nasty without reply (yes I do know he opened the emails, for how long, what program he used, roughly where he is etc)

Most of if not all my trades were made with people via an Instant Msg program and unfortunately I was un able to identify a few traders and tell them of my problems, that is why I posted it on the message boards.

For everyone scared about godaddy, I haven't heard of any more troubles but that doesn't mean all is good and they've fixed the problems. They have some fairly dodgy policies. After saying that I still use them for some domains.

And for those still linking to fc or pf pull all your links NOW!

ronnie 2005-04-06 08:47 PM

Should have gone to the site, amd gone through the trades, mine were still up there. As I said, I did'nt know about it till I ran across this thread. Less he would have gotten out of me..:(

I took down both after reading this thread.

Damn .. sorry to hear about all these domains getting ripped, what a nightmare .. I host all of mine with directnic and albeit 15 dollars a domain, they will go through hell and high water to sort out any issues, and are totally professional. Put your domains on high security ...
