They have a new survivor each new tv season. I think they slacked between the first two survivors though so I think maybe 5-6 years?

I could google it but I'm too lazy to check.

There's better alternatives than our the Canadian TiVO that rogers is offering.

Digital recorders cost about the same but without any monthly fees...they're also compatible with any tv connection (cable, satellite, antenna)

Or as an alternative, if you're computer hardware savvy you could build your own digital recorder customized however you want for around the same price if not cheaper

Technically I can record on my Xbox, but I never have hard drive space. I'd have to burn a ton of games first.

Last night was the 1st night I watched it.

I tend to like Survivor after the people have been wittled down some.

Me too, Alpha. You get to know the personalites better when they get more than a few minutes air time each.

I'm rooting for Sarge because he's from my hometown. My step-daughter is so happy because she got his autograph before the show aired when he came in to buy an RV where my wife works.

HMMMMM Buy an RV???? Don't those things run from 30 to 100k???

Well, Sarge ain't no kid. Given his age he's probably at least an E7, more than likely an E8 or E9. They make pretty good money when you factor in time in service, special pay for his billet, etc. Plus, I would assume his wife has a job. So... he can probably afford an SUV without Survivor. :)

The loans on RVs are just like mortgages too, with up to 25 year terms. Makes the monthly payments even on the top of the line models pretty affordable.

Hmmm I should check that out... maybe I won't wait until retirement to get one and travel the country....
