Well - I've got my designer situation taken care of finally. My new person starts next week... seems like so far away!

Thanks for all of the advice! Now, if I can find a couple of awesome affiliate reps, I'll be flying high!! lol

Cheers! :D

The solution I have is that I hired one guy that I knew and trusted and he has brought more, equally reliable people to us. So now we have a whole crew that works only for us and at a much lower cost then what we would be paying an outsourcing company and the worker gets a much better 'salary' then they would working for a company.
It's true you have to help with some of them on grammar and I have grown to hate the word 'URGE' heh heh but once you get them used to how you want stuff done it is a mutually beneficial arrangement and all parties involved are happy. About the text though..... I tend to want to write as much of the text as possible just because i think i am better at it then they are. having a complete tour designed that looks a lot better then i could do is worth an hour of going through the text and re-writing it for them to copy/paste in :)

I couldn't agree more. |headbang|

For nearly a year now we've been using an 'outsourcing company' to handle most of our design needs. We work with the same guy on every project, so that he's familliar with our preferences. His English is better than that of most Americans, although surely not flawless when it comes to idioms and colloquial jargon.

For me, it's no different than placing a help wanted ad. The internet is global, and just because the applicant is in a 'third world' country does not make them any less competent. We enjoy the benefits of very different economies, and everyone is happy.

I sure hope people remember him and realize how this is supposed to be a joke

lol- I miss Joe. I think that I am the only one who does not claim to have been screwed by him, and I loved his work.

Joe & Rachel were (are?) good friendly people, the problem was his prices.....well like crazy eddie used to say "His Prices are INSANE!!!!" he got way too much work, way to fast, tried to please everyone, ended up making everyone mad and ended up skipping out on a lot of us who knew him before the gallerypeople thing. He was ok, but in the end there was no escaping that people got ripped off intentionally or not :)
my loss = a tour and a few galleries, so i didnt get hurt at all. I'd buy him a drink and chat with him if i ever met him face to face.
