Oh Shit! You went to the one I couldn't get off work for:
1992: Main Stage: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Lush, Temple of the Dog Side Stage: Jim Rose Circus, Sharkbait, Archie Bell, Porno for Pyros, Cypress Hill, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine

I got Alice In Chains, Fishbone, Primus, Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Dinosaur Jr., Arrested Development, and Babes in Toyland.

I sorta wish I'd have paid attention to the acts other than AIC & Primus :D

Useless 2005-06-04 09:37 AM

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Ministry, Sound Garden, Lush, Jesus & the Mary Chain, and Ice Cube. All that for $25 a ticket. Just couldn't go wrong.

Useless 2005-06-04 09:39 AM

And it's the same music that I still listen too. Does is it bother anyone else to hear Nirvana on classic rock station?

Greenguy 2005-06-04 09:50 AM

Our Classic Rock station doesn't play Nirvana yet, but they sure do beat Guns & Roses to death :D

MeatPounder 2005-06-04 01:42 PM

LOL, guess not totally useless afterall ;)

starzlytes 2005-06-05 10:10 AM

I haven't been to SPAC since Lalapalooza in '92, but I was just at the neighboring park, Spa State Park, not long ago. I'm not a concert person. SPAC is a half hour away, the Civic Center (shit hole) is 5 minutes and don't take advantage of either. I'm pretty lame.

You must be lame :)
SPAC is the best ampitheater I have ever been to. Lawn seats suck. But the theater is beautiful.

Smutferret 2005-06-05 10:51 AM

Hey UW,

Congrats on winning!

Regards,
SF

Then you are in agreement with my wife. Yes, I am lame. I've never been a fan of live music since it's almost never as good as the highly filitered and corrected version you get on a cd. Plus, I'm not big on crowds. I like more intimate gatherings. Fewer witnesses.

Jim 2005-06-05 11:15 AM

I just checked ticketmaster and there really isn't anything any good. My wife wants to see Motley Crue but only lawn seats are available. Do you or your wife have any connections to get decent tickets? Anything inside would be good.

Useless 2005-06-05 11:32 AM

Connections? Me? Did you read my name? I don't have any connections anywhere. Actually, I may be able to get you a discount on non-firing replicas of Revolutionary and Civil War era firearms. How about goat milk soap and hand-dipped candles? I can get those things. Concert tickets - you're on your own big guy.

GunnCat 2005-06-05 11:38 AM

Good for you UW :)

Jim 2005-06-05 01:42 PM

I actually just talked to a friend of a scalper who is getting me front row center :) Vickie is Happy :)

Certifiedbitch 2005-06-06 05:11 AM

congrats, UW!

How fucking pampered are you 2?

Besides, I really doubt either of you listened to Motley Crue back in the early 80's anyway :D

POSER |headbang|

Jim 2005-06-06 08:21 AM

Yes, I am a poser. But you know my wife, she listens to everything from Motley Crue to Cole Porter :) We have good seats now so we are all set.

You need tickets to an event, let me know.

Speaking of which, I noticed U2 playing at Rich Stadium on December 9th. WTF is up with that? I can see freezing to watch a football game but, not a concert.

Jim 2005-06-06 08:28 AM

Useless, I mailed the check yesterday. Of course it won't go out until today but let me know when you get it. I am just curious as to how quick my post office is. Also, let me know the post mark. I bet it doesn't say Mohawk :)

I'll never understand how the postal system works. If our dentist one mile away sends up a bill, it gets postmarked Albany, which is 40 minutes south. We have a perfectly good and large post office right here in lovely downtown Glens Falls. Damned conspiracy is what it is.

digifan 2005-06-06 01:11 PM

Hey congrats to you UW :)

Agent 2005-06-06 03:38 PM

Yes, congrats UW. I think the best description did win.

This statement is just wrong on so many levels |banghead|

It's been Ralph Wilson Stadium for a couple years now.

U2 is playing at HSBC Arena (where the Sabres play when hockey is actually going on)

Wenchy 2005-06-07 12:26 AM

Sorry guys, but there is no amphitheater other than the one and only Red Rocks. I'm taking my son to see the Crue... now we're just hoping for no snow! LOL

See now Greenie, you just HAD to go and mention the "H" word, didn't you? And just when I was thinking I could actually deal with my withdrawal symptoms, too... |dizzy|

Useless 2005-06-08 04:07 PM

Check is here Jim - Thank you. Postmarked Utica.

What's with the pic of the oil-covered naked guy with the grim reaper tattoo?
