I take criticism well.

That one was easy to find I am sure.

Well, this thread took a strange turn toward the bizarre. I go to GFY about once/day for the entertainment value. And I think if that is what you are looking for, GFY is the place to find it :)

Comparing webmaster forums seems to be a lot like TV shows. For example..Studio 60 Vs CSI Miami. CSI Miami gets about 17 million viewers to Studio 60s 6.5 million viewers. The average income for those that watch CSI Miami is between 15 to 35 Thousand Dollars/Year. The average income for those that watch Studio 60 is over 75 Thousand Dollars/Year. That makes Studio 60 actually worth more to advertisers than CSI Miami. Even with almost as few as 1/3 the viewership.

Jesus, I think I pay too much attention to Television trends. :)

To hell with Zango. To hell with XXXJay's support of Lars. To hell with GFY. Let's make this ALL ABOUT ME and what a horrible bastard I am!|roses|

Would any other no-name fuck-face like to piss on me because I called Jayeff an ass? This shit makes me harder than midget porn (and you wouldn't believe how hard that makes me).

Now that I've called Senator (who?) a clever little cunt, would some other even less-known fuckwad like to battle me over that - or does this guy have no friends? I've time to waste.

Yes, I called Jayeff an ass for his opinion. Big fargin' deal. I'm sure he's a lovely chap with testes that smell of daisies.

Christ, I'm gonna need a Juicy sig if I keep this shit up.

BTW, Senator - I hope they change your name to Senator_cunt. Why don't you post a few more times in that thread, numbnuts.

I'm still blaming Gonzo for this whole mess. |thumb

You really hurt my feelings. For a minute, I though I was over at GFY. Aren't you the guy who does cheap useless TGP gallery designs?

Honest behavior between business partners

Honest behavior between business partners
AdultFriendFinder admit by Legendary Lars that they shave in the open by using Zango. In other words, they admit taking money from you, the affiliate. They are backed up by spineless people, SleazyDream as an example.
If they shave in the open, what are they doing behind the doors? You can just guess! Of course they are waiting for the protests to blow over and then proceed with the thefts. Continue to publish their behavior until:
1. They pay back the money to the affiliates stolen by the use of Zango, say 4% of the payouts.
2. They pay back the money probably stolen by shaving. I'm not saying they do it, but in the light of the Zango thefts, another 10%, who knows?
3. Supply all affiliates with an excuse and instructions how to protect their domains in the future against the spy ware used.
Then we can do a new start next year using honest behavior between business partners.
----------------------------
I posted this in GFY today as well.

Senator_x 2006-11-20 10:43 AM

A lot of behind the scene action is happening. There are deals behind the scenes to keep people on the upper echelon happy. This whole situation cannot turn out well for AFF in the long run.

We are still between stages 1 and 2 depending on the sponsor.

Not in a loooooong time. You must have searched for my 25 posts on GFY to find that.

Let me know if you'd like to keep this going. I don't care who you are, what you are, or what you do - which is most likely nothing - you are a fucking fool if you think I'll allow you to pick and prod at me here. I'd suggest you shut your mouth and go on living peacefully.

Ahh... Nothing like a healthy dose of testosterone so early in the day!

Senatorx- People wiser than myself often mention that it's a good idea to hang back and lurk for a while on a board that they're new to. It allows them to get a good feel for the general vibe and the colourful characters. Ultimately it helps one to fit in much better with the local surroundings and to avoid situations such as this one.

I been lurking around since 99.

I remember the days when Green Guy use to accept AgeCheck(CyberAge) sites.

...when partner accounts didn't exist

...when DD listed almost every free site

...when sig whores didn't exist

...when the VoyeurWeb.com was cool....still is

...when clublove.com use to payout

...when Zmaster was the leading content provider

emmanuelle 2006-11-20 01:30 PM

Lurking around on the fringes of the industry (I was there too), and hanging back patiently at a board that has a distinct culture are two very different things. Not one of your examples are relevant.

Of course, there is no helping those who cannot admit that there is a problem in the first place....

This board has been part of my daily diet along with other adult boards for years. I was just defending a person I knew who had a consistent track record of straight talk.

I truthfully can't remember the last time I laughed at one of these posts. People should feel free to come here, read, lurk, post or do anything they want without having to learn who or what subject to avoid.

Let's do a quick list of who has been insulted in this thread.
XXXJay...I started with this saying that he kind of deserved it but Gonzo didn't insult him.
jayeff...Posted an opinion and was called an Ass and either an idiot or a sig whore
digifan...not quite insulted but really close. Also threatened to take the thread in another direction (whatever that might mean)
Senator_x...Did he deserve it? Fuck no. And then he gets the advice to not post? What the hell is this board coming to when we go from, "The Only Stupid Question is the Question Not Asked" to "read and learn what not to say and who not to say it to?

Fonz, you are right. Funny how threads change once the name calling starts.

The ZANGO detect .htaccess is very useful tool.

I wanna measure the percentage of surfers that are actually infected that visit my sites.

I am turning down my traffic to AFF but send enough to reach the 55% payout.

I can't imagine anybody taking a hit of 20% off their recurring with AFF. It is just like giving money back to AFF.

Fuck This

Now, those who know me realize that me calling Jayeff an ass, really isn't much of anything. And it's pretty obvious to me that Jayeff is an adult and a bright guy. I disagreed with him (and obviously others) about the value of GFY. If you would prefer that I had agreed with him and said, "yes, you'll make much more money off of GFY than GG&Jim - let me know and I'll change my stance.

I remain confused by much of Digifan's post. I did not threaten to take this thread in another direction - I asked her if she'd like to take the thread in yet another direction since she was the one who added yet another new topic to the thread - you know, about me insulting those who aren't horribly proficient at the English language. First she came to Jayeff's defense. Fine and fair. But then she ranted about bullshit.

Senator_cunt did deserve to be insulted. He insulted me FIRST! Oh, but that's right, Jim - UW is open game.

I think that EVERYONE should stop bashing EVERYONE ELSE because of their opinions.

Here's the bottom line when it comes to GFY - let's pretend you like roses. Would you walk thru a field of cow shit to pick the 3 or 4 roses that are growing there? Or would you go to a rose field & be surrounded by roses with a little cow shit thrown in for fertilizer?

Enough of this GFY shit - let's get back on track - stay the course!

This thread has me wondering two things
1, does XXXJay still think Lars is a standup guy now that he knows he's been Zangoed.
2, will that AFF class action law suit that Gonzo posted about put AFF out of business |huh

1. I dont care what jay thinks. I form my on conclusions and I can afford my own drinks.

2. Piss off the people that promote/advertise your product and the people that potentially buy it and your out of business. Some people think its quite ethical to seed / populate a dating board with bogus profiles.

I dont and apparently the consumer doesnt.

Whats wrong with giving a customer what they paid for when it comes to our business?

I can't resist picking up on this, even though it means drifting off-topic again...

I cannot think of any other industry which sells so much crap. Make your own list or go check out a decent review site and try to come up with more than 50 sites on which you might be ready to spend your own money. Okay, okay, so you are easily pleased and managed to find 100 ;) but now, since PPS is far and away the most popular payment model, delete all the revshare-only sites from that list. Even allowing for a wide variety of tastes, I can almost guarantee you will likely be left with 10-20 sites.

Now think about the thousands of sites that collectively we promote...

Of course we should be selling what customers want, but the reality is that even if common sense one day dawned on us all, we couldn't: imagine what our earnings would look like if thousands of affiliates were all trying to promote the same handful of sites.

Answer: sponsors need to wake up too and start building better sites. Yes in theory. But in the extremely unlikely event that there were a widespread desire to switch away from tactics designed for the 1990's, could it happen? Whether your tastes run to Karups PC or MET-Art, where would we find the army of above-average photographers that it would take? And if it is already amazing (it is to me anyway) that so many more-or-less good looking girls will get naked and have sex in front of a camera, imagine how many we would need if more sites actually delivered what they promise.

Online porn could improve a lot before it runs into such barriers and any improvement will help us earn more money. But I have a suspicion that even 10 years from now, the overall picture will not have changed very dramatically.

There's always been people that care about their work - whether it's running a paysite or a link list or submitting galleries. And there's always been people that are in this for the quick buck.

The bottom line, from the point of view of a webmaster that promotes paysites, is that you have to keep an eye on what's converting as well as what's retaining & base where you send your traffic on that.

I think that this applies to every industry, or facet of our lives. There are dedicated people, there are people who give the bare minimum of effort possible, there are those constantly looking for shortcuts, and there is everything in between.

Seems to me that from the merits or lack thereof of GFY and the personal attacks back and forth everyone was quick to change the subject both from who the ones who were/are benefitting from all the shaving schemes and zango bullshit AND who is defending it as being ok or not that bad.

This is totally fucked! Period!

We've long suspected that something was up with AFF on a number of levels. But to see this level of conspiracy and the players we know knew something about it and were benefitting shouldn't be let off the hook so easily! Nobody's got that great of porn or that much traffic or is that legendary to be able to just grin and say Ooops and everybody is understanding!

This is all a really bad deal and is pissing alot of surfers off too don't forget and maybe getting the ire of a legislator somewhere. The people associated with all of this should be put on a watch list.
