agreed - there are some major changes coming in that arena

I love this thread. I have been wondering what happens to my account at sponsor xxx if the trials do not convert in big enough a scale?
GG got moved to recurring but instead of doing that the maybe start shaving (more)?
I've also been wondering what is behind all these fancy tours You see around. The tours are getting better and better so if the sponsor use more money on designers and affiliate programs than content its understandable why they run into problems.
If we send traffic to a sponsor site, its the tour which sell. If that tour sell too good and the surfer/member gets disappointed it can't be out fault.
The only paysite I've seen inside is Karups Private Collection as they let me choose some content from members area. That site got what it takes and now I understand why I still get a check for rebills every month eventhough I do not promote them any more and have not done that for around 8 months.

How the hell do a sponsor think they can survive if they show old pictures and 10 to 20 secs clips to their members as someone in here have seen.

The surfers got much more experience today and I bet a lot of them jump from paysite to paysite buying trials only. 35 USD per trial will never payoff if its the same shit in site after site they join.

Some years ago one sponsor let us webmasters in for free. Their member's area was, if I say it straight, totally shit. Mostly bad quality small pictures that were probably collected from newsgroups. I cannot even found any videos. Needless to say I pulled my links right away. That sponsor must have been a real dummie, as they stated us that they were proud of their members area and wanted us to see it. |jester|

Then again, when one of the big boys let us took a peek from their member's area, it was awesome. Well, I have rebill checks from them every month, have got almost 5 years now. |bananna|

I hate to see it happen but Its nice to know it wasnt just me they did it to....lol

Fresh content is important as so many have said but have any of you though about the surfer that signs up and cancels immediately and after 30 days he likes the site and signs up again but not via the webmasters affiliate link.

I see many surfers do this and the poor webmaster who sent the sale in the 1st place gets the initial sale and nada recurring.
