I just signed up to IKOBO to see how it worked. They start you off with a $205/Month transfer limit. I clicked the link to increase that and the most they offer is $5k/month after jumping through quite a few hoops. They are a long way from an alternative to Paypal and Epassporte.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the info. I haven't signed up yet, but spoke with Sean in Merchant Support. He told me about the initial $205 limit, but assured me that it can be "easily" raised after the first transaction....said they have several people doing over $50,000 monthly. I'm of the same mind as you...if there is a $5000 upper limit, that's not enough. Since it's free might as well at least sign up...don't want to pass on a possible good alternative without at least taking a look at it.

I agree Stu...
I am going to sit back and watch to see where they go.

I finally changed my FC account over to epassport with instant payout. I'm interested to see where that leads to.

That's how I got my Epassporte card. I have since gotten one for GreenguyandJim but exclusively use my Flashcash Epassporte account.

I can't wait until there is a quality alternative to Paypal.

IntelligentWebs 2004-02-10 10:11 PM

Depends on the biz...

We offer PPC advertising, for adult sites and other sites also based on Search results...

If you are dealing soley in the adult Biz then sort out new procesing to be on safe side.....

The easiest answer is to get approved merchant accounts...

You dont need paypal or Ibill for this...

If you have a long term business then you can get merchant accounts from your local bank with rates of just 3% as we do....

Look into this... If you provide a fully active service and product then any real-life bank will give you a merchant account....

Stop relying on internet billing and talk to your own bank....

Internet billing at 15% are only for those that can offer genuine accounts.....

If you want to move forward then get 100% legit - thats my advice......

Be very careful of iKobo, my recent experiences with them have been rather.... um, unpleasant. |angry|

Greenguy 2004-02-10 10:45 PM

IntelligentWebs - what do merchant accounts & online processors have to do with PayPal email & Epassport set up problems?

stu19 2004-02-10 10:46 PM

Ikobo

Netpiddler:
Care to share any details?

Hi stu19 |waves|
As much as I sometimes hate to bite my tongue, I try not to make a habit of spreading dirt around unless it is absolutely required. |attention

As with most things, not everyone has the same experiences - or opinions. Mine may have been an isolated incident so I will leave it at that.

I do hope you have great success with them or any other alternative processor. |greenguy|

Am I the only person who still works mainly with checks? I don't trust any of those money transferring services. Checks are where it's at.

Greenguy 2004-02-11 07:08 AM

Sly - you're not alone - Flash Cash pay me via ePassport - other then that, it's all checks - I find it easier to keep my books that way.

Of course, that's just for receiving money - you almost need a PayPal these days (adult or mainstream)

why not try ikobo?

hi guys read your details about trouble with paypal.

i had same issues when trying to sell dvd's on my site.

they shut my paypal shopping cart down so i thought fuck you. they froze my account and released funds 6 months later

so ok they did do that !!!

i started using ikobo for a shopping cart - they accept adult sites and are reliable.

i suggest you try them - they are pretty good

here is the link
https://www.ikobo.com/ref.cgi?r=EC010441GB

they do have restrictions like e passporte however they will raise the limit when you ask them too, and also you get an ATM card for withdrawls that you top up when you need more money

hugs
