I don't have the ham radio to go with it, but this house like many down here was built when that was a more popular (and actually necessary) way to communicate. I mention that because, like many of my neighbors, I have a large triangular steel antenna next to my house. It reaches to the roof (one of the easy ways to climb up there) when not in use, and has a crank which extends the center section up to be about four stories tall. No one I know has a ham radio here anymore but a lot of us have the antennas.

I had to take the photo four time because the humidity is so high that the first ones were too fogged up to see much of anything.

For some reason, I was expecting Simon's photo to be an antenna with slices of ham affixed to it.

Perhaps Simon can use his antenna to make that announcement someday.

The training is paying off nicely I see. Didn't even have to make a remark about something being gay this time to draw UW into making an announcement reference.

Still waiting for some things to be debugged in the(ir) system before getting too many folks all excited about anything. Hey, has anyone else heard that using NATS can be a real pain in the ass sometimes? That sure is what I'm hearing right now.

So...yes, announcement coming soon (as possible)... and yes, I did want to go public weeks ago, but |loony|

Anyway, today's hint is

LOL good hint Simon...

funny the pic you showed reminds me of my grandmothers backyard in Titusville, Fla - When I was about 18 I was walking garbage to her dumpster and lightning hit the antenna which was only about 15 feet from where I was and I could feel the heat come off it. Amazing stuff.
