Aretha's hat is a tradition of the African American woman, especially church going women. One of my favorite traditions....being wanting to get that book for awhile.

I had to Wikipedia America the Beautiful, I couldn't remember if the music to that was borrowed....but it wasn't according to them. But it was actually the Star-Spangled Banner that was set to a British drinking song.

This is the song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Country,_%27Tis_of_Thee and it is a the same tune as God Save the Queen. How interesting.

I knew we borrowed for one of our songs....but for life of me I couldn't remember which one. I hadn't thought of that song in long time. :)
