Multiple shootings each day is the norm here. Most of them never make it into the newspaper.

The new Florida law isn't about the right to own a gun but is about when you can kill someone. Not that it really matters as we have so many shootings, but it does give another excuse to shoot someone.

Our right to own guns is from another time when maybe a group of people could make a stand against a government out of control. I really doubt this is still the case. I guess the right to own tactical nukes might make a difference but do you really want your neighbor to have his own nuke?

I live in a city. No one hunts, no dangerous animals to defend against. I don't know anyone who ever has been protected by their gun. Many of the people I know have them. My rich neighbor collects them and has hundreds legally. He is also on medication to control his temper and when he goes off them starts smashing things and gets pretty scary. So far he hasn't shot anyone. He also has a house full of crazy hookers most of the time. People drunk, do drugs, get pissed off, do dumb things. Having a gun around just makes it worse. I was shot at a house where the owner had a gun legally and our mutual friend, who was dunk and pissed off at me, knew where to find the home owner's gun and shot me instead of picking up a lamp and throwing it at me or something.

I've also been robbed at gunpoint. Me having a gun would not have helped at all.

There is no reason for the average person where I live to own a gun. To the collectors and hobbyists, go find a new hobby.

Ok that's a lil better evertime i post i get like 3 or 4 back argueing about it I consider it fun this is a hobby of mine to argueing causes :P.. Will look over the stats but for every statistic done there is an opposite source with an opposite finding..
