Tommy is a 100% stand up guy, everyone around here knows it because he's been around forever and always done straight biz with everyone, including me.

Whatever his cheater test is, me as well as everyone I know has passed it without a problem..but then I don't associate with cheaters. Tommy's got the most relaxed rules I've ever seen and a fuckload of traffic that converts.

Now you're jumping in to insult him...are you this guy's girlfriend or something? Is he blaming Tommy for not having $100 to pay you? What's the deal?

I'd just as soon see this ridiculous thread title drop off the board, but if you're going to keep poking an honest guy with a sharp stick you'd best explain yourself.

Prrofhouse seems you are real fucking concerned about this fucking cheater . I'm sure tommy will give the guy back his money sooner or later its not like he doesnt have 100's of non cheating WM's galleries and sites to worry about so I imagine when he gets around to it he will get it back to him and after all the fuking cheater got his refund back first time saying he wasnt going to get an account and yet he still wanted to waste tommy's time again by sending again so Now he can wait cause he's fucking hardheaded. If that doesn't suit your likings Oh well

Chop Smith 2005-07-01 11:49 AM

So requests for a submit pass to Tommy's increase again?

My favorite part is how every time shit like this gets slung around people realize how excelent tommys traffic is and how cheap an account is there and he gets another 25 or so signups.

Cleo 2005-07-01 01:35 PM

Tommy's deal has to be one of the best around. I would easily pay $100 per month for the privilege to submit to Tommy.

thurbs 2005-07-01 02:34 PM

tommy is no cheat.

Lemmy 2005-07-01 03:49 PM

Tommy, here's an idea: Call it a non-refundable application fee. That should deter some of the cheaters from even trying.

I didn't want to write here more cause of me vs. Tommy....i have no chances to win...and nobody gives me chance. That's obviously.

And please guy's don't flood here. I have requested to close this thread.

P.S.
Tommy - i PM'd you yesterday. If you don't want to refund my money - ok. Let's think that it was a little present. Sorry if i was too sharp when called you cheater.

Thanks to all.

I agree with you proofhouse - and especially in the case of this type of injustice where a slime ball WM tries to cheat a well known respected WM like Tommy - I think it should be posted everywhere to show the injustice that some cheaters try to bring to the biz

My favorite part is how this guy keeps trying to manipulate us into thinking tommy's an idiot or something and was wrong.

I mean lets face facts. Tommys been in this game a long fucking time and if he thinks you're a cheater, if he thinks you dont deserve an affiliate account... you dont.

Tommy is the guy with nine million partner accounts, seventy bazillion hits a day, and has made us all quite a chunk of change.

then you've got this guy with his accusations and broken english.

you'd have to have a lot more than just a random "oh snap you keeps my money i am full of sad" line to convince just about anyone here.

I'd like to know what he did, apart from making two applications for an account at Tommys. Maybe Tommy can tell us.

"Accusations in broken english"

Well if you were in the middle of Moscow, could you speak perfect Russian?

The fact remains that Tommy refused this guy an account and refunded the first $50. Now any reasonably intelligent person wouldn't submit again for an account...especially only 1 week after the first rejection.

You seem to criticize Tommy's actions, but why don't you criticize the actions of a person that purposely tried to get an account after he knew the first time he would be rejected.

If every person that Tommy rejected just kept on resubmitting and getting a refund, how would that effect his business model? Maybe he would just stop offering new partner accounts and go with the stable of partners he already has...now should 1 person that tried to cheat the system ruin it for all the other webmasters that want an account at Tommy's?

Tommy's always been an upstanding webmaster...when people ask me what partner accounts they should buy I always say buy one at Tommy's. He's always dealt straight with people just as he dealt straight with this guy. Abuse the system though, get punished, deal with it.

Tommy has always been good to me. He even went out his way to do an alternative method of payment for me when I applied.

Whatever Tommys reasons for rejecting this guy is, he has done the right thing and kept it between the two parties concerned. He hasn't, even after being referred to as "a cheat" disclosed any infomation as to the reason for the rejection.

Apply once.. you get rejected. Apply twice and do the same thing is asking for trouble. For too long, cheaters (and this does not apply to anyone particular) have made our jobs that little bit harder. An inconvenience is an understatment. |shocking|

For $50 Tommys partner account was a steal. For $100 its still a fantastic offer.

For once its nice to see an owner bite back and actually get one over a cheater.
This should be standard for all TGP's.
Its like any business deal.

You're obviously too obtuse to understand the fact that Tommy did give a refund the first time. The person should have never applied a second time as he knew what the results would be. I'm not sure why this is such a difficult concept for you to grasp.

Anyway, you're welcome to your opinion, but don't be surprised if people think you're a dink for it. I personally think you're a little drama queen who feeds on this type of attention. :D

Mr Blues,
I know all about the 50 dollars he sent the "first time". Please don't patronise me.
He sent further money,100 dollars, rightly or wrongly. The other party has decided to keep it.
To me, it sounds like the guy has been screwed. And he would like his money back.
$100 Dollars is $100 Dollars. Simple.

Jel 2005-07-03 02:36 AM

Surely you can see that after the second $100 was refunded, there would have been a third payment, after that was refunded, a fourth, and so on? Time = money, and this guy would be taking up Tommy's time with the continual back-and-forth of money for an account he isn't going to get.

Don't forget, he failed Tommy's cheater test. Now, Tommy could probably have cheated him right back and just made sure none of the guy's work was listed. Nope, he took the time to reund the guy. and tell him he was not going to get an account. Anyone who has dealt with Tommy would not be surprised by that. Why the hell would the guy then send another request a week later, and not mention he already got declined? Only one possible reason he would do so - to try and catch Tommy unawares and hope he'd forgotten about the first instance.

To me, it sounds like he done that wrongly. To me, it sounds like he was trying to screw Tommy.

No doubt he would like his money back. No doubt Tommy wanted this guy to stop sending him money and trying to screw him. No doubt this guy will send another $100 from another alias.

I applaud the people who screw the screwers.

$100 is nothing compared to bashing someones reputation without merit, the way this thread started off. I am inclined to believe someone who has a great reputation and has been around for a long time versus someone who comes here starting a thread named:
Tommy(tommys-bookmarks.com)!! Did you cheat me?
Honestly when I first saw the thread I thought it was some joke.
Point is, we know Tommy, we have made money with Tommy we trust Tommy. Ultimately if he decides to refund the guy is comletely up to him.
I don't think arguing with the community is going to help the guy with his case, just likely to have more people come stand by Tommy.

Let me ask you a question:

If the guy didn't submit a second time, would he have lost his money? That's the point really. The man gambled and lost...The wager was $100...The bet was if he could fool Tommy...the result...he lost.

Next time you go to Vegas or Atlantic City, place a wager, lose, and then ask the house to return your bet. It is the same thing...no different...well, one difference, in Vegas no one would feel the urge to support his lunacy...that is, unless you were there :)

Tommy, you been fishing yet this summer?

sue-fl 2005-07-03 12:06 PM

Well this sure has been a very intresting thread. I knew that Tommy must send a lot of traffic has he seems to be very respected. Even a newbie (like myself) would pick up on that soon enough. But I had no real idea on just how good it would be to be able to submit at Tommys. Well thanks to some idiot who decided to be really rude. I have learned that I would like to apply there. I had no idea how much traffic he sends, but do now. So this thread turned out to be a bad thing for the person who started it. But maybe a good thing for me...... |thumb
