We just changed our travel plans, we added Tues night, so we are staying 8th, 9th, and 10th at the Hard Rock. I didn't want to try and drive in, get checked in, then try to go to the seminars all the same day.

I was shocked we picked up the room for Tues night for only $69. They also changed our room rate to $129 or so for Wed, so if you booked at the xbiz rate, might want to call and check...may save yourself a few dollars. Thurs the xbiz rate is cheaper though. |thumb

I'm actually canceling my room tomorrow for Wed/thursday. It seems the company I work for in PDX decided to hold their annual meeting in Vegas since several of the staff members were coming here for a show. They are all staying at Paris/Planet Hollywood. So i'll be commuting between the HR/Home and Paris/PH. Of course I might try to snag someone's floor on Wednesday night. I'll need a hoist the next morning. |jester|

Like usual I wait to the last minute.

Virgohippy and I have booked a room for the 9th. We will drive in the morning from LA and we will be driving back home afternoon or evening of the 10th.

Hope to be there and checked in so we can make Happy Hour on the 9th to see some friendly faces and meet some new ones from the board. This really is the only reason why we are driving out at $5 a gallon :D

We do not have passes for xbiz, so does anybody know how much same day registration costs. I could not find it on their site. Not sure if we will even register to go in.

As far as the passes go I wouldn't sweat it I find networking with board members the most beneficial part of going to a show and you can borrow someones pass if there is something you want to see or do

I agree completely with this, which is why we are going to drive on out. I did a last minute trip out to Sheepguy's BBQ and it was one of the best trips.

I agree, I never signed up for Internext, too expensive, but drove in and spent the night so MadHatter and I could meet up with GG&J buds.

I'm just installing the last program on my laptop I'll need, I'm almost all packed, Jim already has most of his stuff in the Vue, so figure we will be able to leave in the morning at a good time, so I'm thinking we should be checked in by early afternoon at the latest. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

You know you could always do the Mega Bus. It's like 4 hours door to door and depending on when you roll out could be anywhere from $8-16 dollars each. MUCH cheaper than the gas prices and it's non-stop from LA.

Thanks for the info docholly. For this trip I will still drive but I will definitely keep that in mind for next time, when gas prices are $7 a gallon :(
