Here's today update.
88.3 kg (194.26 Lbs) but I haven't eaten yet today. |
I'm not gonna weigh myself for a few days because I know exactly what I have done. Friday and Saturday were spent eating junk at the local festival this weekend, Sunday was spent with my ass planted in front of the TV from noon to 11pm feeding my face watching football, and today is my birthday and I'll be going out to eat probably twice.

I didn't take a pic today, but I'm the same as yesterday, 179. I might just wait a few days, as I don't want to get frustrated at seeing the same weight over and over, lol. Yesterday we took a break from working out to heal up, but plan on going back out this morning for a walk in the park and some bad mitten. :D It was kinda cool when I realized I had cereal for breakfast, then a slimfast for lunch, that by the time dinner came I wasn't as starving as usual...think my body is adjusting somewhat to the reduced calories. I hate the first few days when you are starving all the time.

Well got to busy yesterday and forgot to post my weight so here is todays :) its looking good so far now i hope i can keep it up.

I know I have skipped a few days being in Buffalo. But, tomorrow I will post a fresh picture. I fully expect to have gained at least 5 pounds over the weekend. We ate constantly. :)

I'm too fucking tired to pick up a camera and walk over to the scale - it's been a weekend from hell...... I'll weigh tonight when I wake up.

Too depressed/upset with myself to take a pic, but I stepped on the scale and I gained 3 pounds just as I suspected. Thats what I get though for eating deep fried shit all Friday night and Saturday night, drinking 8 beers Friday night, and then sitting on my ass all day eating and watching football Sunday.

I gained 3# as well, but I swear: the only thing I ate that I should not have was Jim's Mild Flavored Chili. ...and maybe a muffin or 2 and some not-burnt chocolate chip cookies. |

Don't get discouraged guys.. muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are working out, you might gain a bit. On the huge plus side, it takes more calories to support muscle, and your metabolism gets revved up for about 24 hours after a workout. You may think you are gaining weight but you really are not.
Another huge thing that I think gets missed -- Water. Shoot for 1 quart per every 50 pounds (1 litre/25 kg) to really hydrate well like the Pittsburgh Steelers do. If you are soda drinkers, cut the soda and watch the pounds drop like crazy. And so what if you had a cheese enchilada or a muffin, or chocolate chip cookies? Don't beat yourselves up, go for a walk, have a nice big glass of water, and tell yourself how great it tasted. Then, start back on your regimen. You're all still human... still delightful... and still can take false steps. The ideal would be to go for a walk, drink the water, and forget about the treat, but hey... such is life. You're all making great progress because you are trying to change.. you are all getting more active, and that is the best part. Now.. keep it up. |

I'd blame the weather for keeping me inside instead of out getting exercise but ... oh hell, why not, it's all Ike's fault. :D |
Still the same weight, 179 today. I'm sure eventually, it will trend down, lol. I'll take a pic tomorrow no matter what it is.
As I put in the morning thread though, I can feel everything toning up from the walking, so I'm not too discouraged since I know I'm putting on muscle. I've also always gained and loss very slowly...it has taken me 9 years to put on 40 lbs, I don't expect to lose it overnight. I've lost a 1/2" in my waist, and that makes me more encouraged then only losing 4# (3 before we started) |
