The thing I liked best about this edition was that FINALLY all the jerkoffs went home, and those that PLAYED FOOTBALL went trough! No matter how big their names, they got it up their asses and were sent back to their mommas! Football prevailed! That's what I like to see!!!

Well, I guess they preferred playing for their homeland instead for their fatherland - you have similar situation in other national teams too... near a half of French players are from Senegal.

There sure were some great "near misses" though. Score could have easily been 3-0, 3-1 or even 4-1. But the 1-0 score did keep that "on the edge of your seat" feeling going throughout the rest of the game, especially towards the end.

Spain played great. Congrats to them on the fine win. They definitely looked like champions in several of the games they played in this tournament.

I think, that Spain's championship is well-deserved. Another teems, that deserved to win were Netherlands and Russia..

Actually they did win once more, in 1964, which was the second edition of the european championship, hosted in... U guessed it, spain :) They beat the Russians 2-1 in the final then (but the soviet union was way better way then - they had won the first edition).
