Some people may think that it's no big deal to inflate a membership count like that. But when you are selling advertising based upon those figures, then that's not being honest with your potential sponsors.

It's the same as selling magazine ad space and claiming that your circulation is 4 times larger than it actually is.

How much does this guy charge? I think maybe one of the sponsors should post on here about how much traffic and quality of traffic he really sends on over to them. He truly does sound like a fraud though.

The only thing that would convince me is a sponsor saying he truly has sent good quality traffic.

GG&J is the only board I will even THINK about clicking on a sponsor link. That's a true compliment to Green Guy and Jim. I've seen their sites and I know they have good stuff. I wonder does this butcher guy have any sites that he can say that about? I doubt it.

I believe he is trying to say someone signed up all these bogus names to make him look bad.

So, the way the script works is when signing up, you need to have an email address different than one that has already been used. The only way to bypass that process is to put these bogus members in through the admin section of the board script. He boasts for all these months about having so many members. Once he is caught, he now claims that someone did it to him :)

This guy is the worst scammer there is. He is a very stupid scammer. I can't believe it took 24 hours to come up with that lame lie. First he claims it is a script error. And now he is saying someone else did it to him. It is time to fess up and admit to trying to scam potential advertisers and webmasters alike. He used the bogus numbers to get most of his posters to come to scamchat. And, he is using them to attract potential advertisers.

Registered users that AREN'T confirmed by an admin is posted under "(COPPA) Users Awaiting Moderation", like my account.

So either he or another admin confirmed all those accounts or someone put them in by hand.

Jim - you left out the part that, if he did have 7000 bullshit members that other people were creating, they'd have to put their birthday in before they could proceed with the sign-up process & these members would have shown up on the Calendar, which most of us already know that there were not even close to 7000 birthdays on there.

I guess I was a tad dissapointed to see what I thought was a high profile sponsor, sponsoring that board.

I actually signed up to the board... really wanted to defend Urb (one of the most genuine and honest people I have ever met in this business)

I had only made one post when I saw somones post had been deleted... a poster here... and certainly a person's opinion who shouldnt be deleted. when I questioned the deletion I was told it was either illegal or (hmmm cant think of the other thing) and I was advised if I wanted to hang at boards like "that" the moderator would send me a list.

Doesnt sound like a board that wants me :) and I have pretty much said nothing. But I am certainly not impressed by any sponsor that supports it... I am sure that no sponsor will hope to gain good business from that board.
