Does everyone in your family know you work in the adult industry?
 

My wives parents do not know what we do. They have their ideas but really don't know 100%. My father in law is comming to visit surly by the end of the summer. With us only working the site for income they have questioned more then a few times how we are making money. I told my wife she will have to tell her dad some how and some way soon. But she just don't know how to break it to him. There is no way we can not work the site when he is here. It's just not possible. So he will have to be told. Her parents are not strict by all means but still would prefer their daughter to be working with her mind other then her body. Anyone ever have to deal with something like this? If so how did you go about it?

Everyone knows...including my grandmother (who Jim always seemed to accidentally attempt to tip off with business cards & t-shirts when he visited for various gatherings)

I don't have a lot of family and none living close by but all of them are very glad that all I'm doing these days is marketing adult online entertainment.

Everyone here, including my neighbours know what I do... and the question they keep asking over and over is "How can I make money with porn?" Its funny really. I have never had to deal with anyone negative. People ask what I do, I tell them... I have some sites on the internet... gotta go. Wow such a response. Well we know this is going to come out. I figure its going to be a nightmare. Being I left my job the only income we have is from the wives camshows. We are surly not rich so her taking off that work for 1 or 2 months is just not possible. I can only see it now. Her dad finds out and then she tells him while he is here. They always look at us funny now durring the parties. My Sister suspected, I never hid it. I told my nephew when he was 14 that I worked with adult websites and told my sister. In a court case in Palm Beach County, I was referred to as 'a local pornographer'.

Like Cleo, during the hurricanes, neighbors asked, I told them. Some had a problem, some didn't. However, since I'll have AC, computers, TV and power during the next hurricane, they might put aside their disdain.

I have to get my soundmeter out -- our city has an ordinance that allows 60db from the street, or 50db after 11pm. The city north of us has declined permits for dozens of fixed-install generators. Our city has said that during an emergency, they are not enforcing the law.

Some neighbors were a little upset when I fired up the generator and the outdoor lights which are on a timer came on. They all ran into their houses to check the power and came out dejectedly when they discovered they had no power.

It all depends on how you are going to present this to her parents. IF you give her the impetus and let her take the "bull" by the horns so to speak and if she sticks to her convictions, they your wounds won't be as severe.

If however she is not a strong character with her parents, you are in trouble. You will be looked upon as the scapegoat and depending on what natioanlity they are, this won't bode well for you.

You and your wife are gonna have to have to sustain a united front. Perhaps showing them that is opportunity has some serious up$ide to it. That means no chinks in the armour. The will of both of you collectively as ONE must outlast any emotional outburts or derision from her parents. Its the only way you too can have any hope of standing up to them. Remember, she may be your wife, but she is FOREVER their little girl and I am certain this NEVER entered their minds.

Thank you and I agree. I'm trying to look at this from all angles. Shit if anyone thinks as a husband I don't have issues with what my wife does, then they are crazy. So I can only imagine what a mom or dad would think. Me? I would totally be an ass if I did not say from a parents point of view, I would not want my child in this industry. But I do not have kids and can only think of the feelings one would have once they found out.
I get along with her parents but I have this feeling that after this, we won't be talking much. I think they are going to blame me, when in fact none of this was my idea lol.
