No work today and even, maybe a haircut for a party tonight. And, maybe not.

Good Morning. Got nothing. :)

Up really early mostly due to my two demon kittens who think it's fun to play with momma's feet in the morning.

Just as well as I had to let the cleaning girls into my neighbor's place. He is coming home tomorrow so this is the last time I'll need to let in cleaning people for awhile. He lost his keys while away and the keypad to open his garage door got broken in the hurricane so I'll be needing to let him into his house when he returns home.

I've somehow agreed to get caught up in the Talia vortex again today so I guess I'll be running around with a short Asian for part of today but should be around in the afternoon and don't really have anything planned for this evening.

Off to make more espresso…

BIG party here today. I mean BIG! Seems we've invited everyone we know & they're all bringing friends. Nothing like 30 or 40 drunks annoying the sober guy |thumb

I spent 7 hours in The Pool House yesterday getting things in order & it dawned on my while I was doing the vacuuming that an hour into tonight's party, it'll be a fucking mess once again |banghead|

I topped off my evening by taking Yell's "I stopped with the boys after work for a couple" ass to the Sabres game...at least he didn't eat any Slouvaki :D

I'm blaming all these storms on the large population of Pagans that seem to have overtaken the west side of town. We may have to bring back witch burning to get back our beautiful topic climate.

You've really got to kill them and dry them out of a while before they're good for burning. In my experience there are usually better uses for the sexy ones :D

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention we're skipping the big parties this year to get together with a few close friends, get really loaded, and see where things go from there. Considering the terms deviant, exhibitionist and voyeur apply to all of us, it's likely to be a good time :D

Not much goin' on here today. I may get clerical and bundle up all my 2005 records to make room for 2006 stuph.

Only plans for this evening are to stay off the roads.

I always assumed that you already had one.
I know what it's like to be the sober guy. I didn't drink until a few months before 21st b-day. I was in the army at the time and owned a '73 Cadillac limousine. What's better than a designated driver with a high passenger vehicle? Needless to say, my barracks mates loved me on the weekends. I was suddenly every drunk's best friend. One night, as we cruised back on to lovely Ford Hood ("The Great Place"), we were confronted by a roadblock. Seemed as if every fucking MP from Hood was there at 3am. They had a long twisty course of orange road cones set up and had those motherfucking generator powered lights running along the road, each one twice as bright as the sun on its best day. I rolled slowly up to the first sentinel and stopped. I hade 7 drunks packed in the back acting like complete assholes. Being that I was amongst drunks and everything smelled like booze breath, the MP expressed that he didn't believe my claim of complete sobriety. He said something to the tune of, "Drive this coarse slowly, but without stopping. An MP at the other end will arrest you when you are done running over the cones." I swear, those friggin' cones could not have been closer together without rubbing. Anyway. I took the course without even scraping the cones, which was feat in itself do to the size of the vehicle. The MPs must have realized that too, because a group of them gave me a standing ovation at the end and waved me on.

Anyway, the wife and I are heading to a party in Connecticut sometime soon, so I have to drag my ass for face the consequences. Booyaa!

Big plans today are the dog gets a haircut and a bath...he probably won't like me again til sometime a week or so into the new year :D

Then, this evening...that's when the fun starts! Perhaps a bit of good champagne...and pouncing on the girlfriend later in the evening to ring in the new year the RIGHT way :D

Ahh, the end of 2005. How happy I am to see you :)

Some friends are still trying to convince me to have a party at my place (my house is big and pretty much everything in it is unbreakable) but I am truly NOT in the mood. I might put up with a few visitors for a while, or go out to do something, but other than that, nope, sorry.

Like Greenie, I am the sober guy. It changes how you perceive and enjoy certain events and occassions. Not in a bad way, but it often means that your fun isn't exactly their fun. Not a horrible thing, but takes a little getting use to. In my 5th year like this, I am getting good at it now.

I have got a ton of "end of 2005" stuff to do around the office and such, and an old/new project that I will be dragging out into the light in the next day or two. I got to shuffle off the boxes of 2005 papers and put new ones out to catch the 2006 stuff. I have to start the new accounting files (I keep each year seperate instead of rolling it over, it helps to allow the accountants to go back and play without making my life difficult).

So, 2005 comes to the end, 2006 dawns, yesterday might have been my single best sales day of the year, so there is some good light shining down the road.

7 hours to go for me and then it will be 2006,lol i will be ablke to talk to you guys and girls from future. Huge clusteruck today, this morning my hubby woke up sick to, so after some phonecalls we decide to move the new years eve party to an other friends house instead of having the party at my house, it where busy hours this morning we had to move the booze and the food and made the place at my friends house ready......this will be the first time i wont be making it late till next morning at an new years party ...and for real i dont wanna go, still to sick. I hope you all have an great party time! :)

Ghetto? Watch your tongue! I'll have you know that it was one of the classiest cars on Fort Hood. :D
