opinion wrist tattoo's
i dont know if i say it right, but already for some time i am thinking to get some tattoo's, i have not one of those things now, but i am drawing the design myself and i want one on my wrist and one on my back just above my butt or one just above my ...you know where, it will be tribal tattoo's( so it will be black ones, no color) and with the first letter of my hubby in it (yeah yeah i am a weeny, but after 22 years together i realy wanna have those) what i wanted to know is, which woman around here have also tattoo's (i know cleo had one last time) how is the pain limit and how did you made the choise where to put it on your body? i know i am pretty sure about my desicion to have some tattoo's, i am just that sure when i took a eyebrow piercing while my hubby didnt agree, but he loved it afterwards. My hubby dont agree with me that i want the tattoo things, but ones a idea in my head i have to do it.

Yeah I had one put on the back of my neck. It felt like someone was putting a cigarette out on my neck as it was being done for the first 20 minutes but then it stopped hurting as my body released its endorphins. It is one of the more painful places to get a tattoo.
I've also had my eyebrows tattooed and the woman did them by hand instead of a machine. That hurt but not all that bad. I'm getting another on my right inner thigh sometimes this year that will be a lot bigger then the one on the back of my neck. I'm told that it is going to hurt a lot. |

I have a scar that runs along my inner thigh from just above my knee to almost my crotch that keloided pretty badly so I was going to have a dagger put over it with a some kind of mystical looking woman holding it. My drawing skills suck so I've been going to different tattoo artists asking them to show me stuff until I find one that draws something to my liking.
I've also been thinking of doing a tattoo on my lower back just above the crack of my ass. A friend of mine just did one like that and I really like the way it looks. |

My wife did that permanent makeup thing 6 or 7 years ago and came home looking like Yul Brynner in The King and I
She was told that it would eventualy fade away, it still shows when she doesn't have makeup on, except now it looks purple. |
Can you wait about 5-6 years? by then we'll be seeing nanotech tatoos that move, and can be taken off:D
http://english.ohmynews.com/ArticleV...no=1&back_url= I change too much to have anything permanent, I like to have the ability to change whenever the fancy strikes me. needless to say, I already have some drawings of what I'm going to get. I was thinking about having one of my DNA stretched arm to arm and demonstrating the changes that occur in real time.|thumb |
They said that they could tattoo over keloided skin no problem but it would be real painful. The scar is already kind of the shape of a blade so that is why I thought of putting a dagger over it. Also since it is the result of an ex shooting me a woman holding the dagger would be appropriate.

The woman that did my eyebrows did them by hand instead of using an electric tattoo needle because it gives her much more control. Also she is really good at matching color with skin type. I met her when I went with a friend who was getting the scars on her areolas from breast implants tattooed to help hide them. She spent about 30 minutes just getting the color right and after everything healed you couldn't see any color difference between the scar and her skin.
With permanent makeup it is very important that the person knows what the color will end up with your skin type. The downside of having someone doing tattoos by hand is it takes a lot longer and basically you have someone jabbing you with a small knife for a few hours. |

Definitely not a woman here - but I had one done on my back that took around 4 hours for just the blackwork - and Cleos right - after the first 20 mins or so the body is good about providing that natural high to get rid of the pain :)

I have three tattoos, one on my ankle, one on my right boob and I have a pretty vine with leaves that goes around my arm.
Pain was not really a factor except when it came to the back of my arm. That hurt the most of all of them, depends on what kind of pain tolerance you have I guess. Having gone threw natural childbirth a couple of times, I have a high tolerance for pain...|loony| |
i have 3 as well
My first one (at age 42) was just my then husband's name and then about 5 years later i did one that surrounds it of a diamond (his initials are GEM) both are over where my heart beat is...then a couple of year's ago i had a small one done on my uh ass cheek.. ..thinking that it would be less painful because i had so much padding there ..and i also had natural child birth.. so the most painful part was not being able to watch.. and i fell asleep in the the chair.. on the expanding/contracting with the weight.. i weighed about 100lbs less 10 years ago when i got my 1st one.. about 50lbs less when i got my 2nd one..neither have changed..the one on my ass is small and i'm thinking if my ass spreads more it will disappear into a dimple. :D |

What I don't get is the fadeing to purple.|huh Stu I got a tatoo and didn't feel it at all, I was so drunk I didn't know I had one untill the next morning when I woke up with a bandage on my arm. I had Hot Stuff (a little deveil) and under it said "I'm a horny little devil", I thought that was so stupid I went and had grass put over the writeing and that hurt like hell:D |
Yeah I've seen the purple eyebrows far too many times. :(
I have brownish dark auburn eyebrows naturally and that is also the color of the tattoo ink. Also it is more like a lot of little specs of color and not just a line. Basically the ink was laid down in the color of my eyebrow hair and in little streaks like the way hair grows. I'm suppose to return for a touchup but they look fine so I just never got around to going back for the after everything heals touchup. Nice :) Quote:

Last year I had an "orange" tiger to cover up an old grim reaper I got when I was 18 :) The paw goes around my wrist. It was some of the worst paid I ever had. Only because the wrist has such thin skin. As soon as the tattoo guy hit the bone just below my thumb, my thumb went numb. It was like that for a couple of months. I have another tattoo that goes all around my bicep. It's my lovely wife's name. A lot of people get tribals about 3/4s around their arm and claim that the stencil was not long enough to go all around. That's just a lie they like to tell. The part of your bicep that is toward the side of your body is really tender. The guy said it is like tattooing a worm :)

I have been wondering about something like the flex-display tattoo to go with one of these virtual keyboards. http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/8193/ |

MadHatter has tatts up both arms, with flames starting at his wrists. He said the part on his wrist, esp. the underside was the most painful for him too. Far more than any other he had done on the rest of his arm.
Linkster, cool dragon! MadHatter has smaller dragons on both shoulders, I love dragons. :) |
I hate women with tattoos
its such a turnoff why would you wanna put a picture on your body a picture that you probably wouldnt wanna hang on your wall sooner or later everybody will get sick of anything and look at those crazy hair styles in the 70's think about those huge afros imagine they were permanent |
