Damn, I ate a lot of chili yesterday :) And, if one of the people that was there competes next month, I have competition. :)

There were a lot of people tasting the chili but hardly any restaurants showed up. Stupid micro-breweries and their damn beer. :)

Kind of a busy week this week. Saturday is my lovely wife's 50th birthday :) I hope she doesn't read this today. But, I have to change a few rooms around before the weekend for our Children and Grandchildren :)

Morning all,

I spent the night at the ER. One of my friends fell of his barstool and broke his fall with his head. A broken nose, 16 stitches and a concusion will teach him not to do that again.

The weekend in Holland was nice. We didn't do that much but it was relaxing and fun to be with a great bunch of people.

Looks like folks up north are about to get a big ice storm on top of 11 feet of snow already there. Or at least that's how CNN is telling the story this morning. I hope everyone who needs a generator already has one. If the news is right, the power's going to be off for awhile in some areas once the ice gets heavy.

Lots of rain here today but may go up to 79F later, so no chance of ice storms for us.

Yep, we are supposed to get hit with snow but I haven't heard ice yet. If you talk to someone from the Tug Hill area, they tell you, it's just another Winter. Being on the East Coast of Lake Ontario always makes it the snowiest place in the lower 48. I heard one local weather guy say "They got 122 inches. That close to 10 feet". :) While Tug Hill is about an hour from here, we are still sitting with only about 2 feet but with much more on the way. We are about 15 minutes from the big Lake Effect Snow. It's strange that we have 2 feet and 15 minutes from here has about 8 feet. :)

Greenie and I always talk about this. Just because of a blizzard or two, everyone thinks Buffalo gets a lot of snow. But really, nothing compares to Tug Hill :) I used to work there. And I always wished I took a picture of a sign with snow almost covering it saying, "Mexico --> and Phoenix <--" They are just two small towns in that region but a cool looking sign anyway.

I'll take a nasty hurricane over an ice storm or a blizzard any day.

Speaking of hurricanes… I can barely move today as I'm so sore from cutting back foliage in my backyard yesterday so that this coming hurricane season I won't have anything blowing onto my home. If doing my yard wasn't enough I ended up helping the woman across the street from my doing her ficus hedge too.

The weather people are saying I live just north of the all snow freezing rain/snow line, the local weather man who is usually better than anyone at predicting the amount of snow says we're getting 12-16 inches with 20-30 mph winds. I've lived here in this town my whole life and if we get 16 inches of snow with 30mph winds that would be the worst snow storm I've ever seen in my lifetime. Back in my senior year of high school we got around 12 inches of snow with 20-30 mph winds and the roads were totally shut down in a state of emergency for a good 3-4 days. So I am preparing to be snowed in the rest of the week. God I hope and pray for no freezing rain, I would rather be snowed in for 2 weeks than lose power for a week (like we have before in an ice storm), because after this snow its suppose get cold as fuck again. Its 27 out now and feels like a tropical heat wave.

Oh yeah, we have a bad rep. No one believes me when I say that Syracuse gets more snow than Rochester & Rochester gets more snow than Buffalo.

The whole situation would have been much cleaner and friendlier if the program owner's friends would have allowed him to handle the situation on his own. Their need to beat their chests, expose their shrivelled little cocks, and make horrid attempts at watering down the the facts, made it a whole bunch uglier than necessary.

Which board psychic would have foretold a three page thread due to a single 30kb picture being hotlinked on a page which may have seen 5 uniques a day?
