Phew, only three more days left in the workweek. :)

I hate when I wake up 90 minutes earlier than the alarm clock. Hopefully today is the last day for the web design work I have going so I can get back to writing some code to fix a few things that I've been thinking about.

My nephew started using mod_python last night and thinks it is easy. The one templating system I suggested sort of scared him, but, he was still poking away at it. Perhaps I can have him write the one piece of code that 95% of the template systems are missing.

Good Morning!

Had a blast kite surfing yesterday other than feeling like my arms got ripped out of the sockets. The third straight day of sunburn stings a bit too, but I'll cure that with a fresh sunburn today.

I have a severe case of munchies, so breakfast today will be chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate syrup, eggs, sausage, grits, coffee, OJ, V8, and another joint.

Got a lunchtime meeting on the beach with a couple of folks needing sites built then it's time to dash back here and clean up to go to the Gin Blossoms concert in Gulfport tonight under the oaks across from the beach, followed by a supper meeting at Emeril's afterwards.

Have a splendiferously magnanical superbly FanTastiC day filled with heat , humidity, sunshine, sand, seafood, music, and marijuana ( in that order)!

Good morning all. I've been up all night working and i'm about to grab a couple of hours sleep before doing it all over again.

Today is set to be the hottest day so far this year, so I'll be out in the yard later today.

On a downside we need to clean the windows but I'm not in the mood. Maybe if I |couch| Emmy won't notice me and I'll have a peaceful day |thumb

Up early because I have so fucking much to do that I couldn't sleep.

Doing the gym thing in a bit and then just another chaotic, hectic, day from hell of computer upgrades, member area updates, and promoting kinky shit.

I'd clean the windows but it's too hot to open them. Right now I'd deciding how important my two errands really are today. With the overcast day meaning humidity near 100% it's hard to get excited about getting out there. Oh well, I can always peel the top back on the Jeep and hope it actually rains.

Fuck You, Friday!

I woke up to my piece of shit contractor (and now ex-friend) quitting my bedroom remodel 1/2 way thru with 3/4 of the money. He couldn't take us complaining that he took a 2nd job 4 weeks into ours, which meant that he was only here after 4 PM & a couple hours on the weekend. He also didn't like that after he called one day at 10 AM & said he'd be a couple hours late, we called at 5 PM to ask where he was.

And if you think I sound upset, you should see The Bitch :D

My step-daughter is moving out today, which also has The Bitch in a bit of a tissy, seeing as she was the last bird in the nest. This also means that I have to play helper & go hook up the cable & TV & TiVo & anything else that plugs in & has a clock.

So, in closing, I wish I was back in bed....in my bedroom :D

Not much going on today besides the usual work day.
About 2 miles from my house there is a new nursery that just opened up: Greenie Nursery. :) I will try and take a pic within the next few days and post it. OK, so do we have any porno plants for sale? |potleaf||boobies|

My kids have something going on at different schools today so I'm supposed to drop by both schools at different times. So apparently I'll be in and out today so catch me when you can. |waves|

Bluebrit, it's funny you mentioned windows. When I got up this morning I was looking out the kitchen window and laughed at how dirty it was. I hate cleaning windows :D

Tomorrow my grandson has a graduation program at church for pre-k. Which means the family (both sides) will be going to church |shocking| This is a very scary thought for most of us!

My RugDawg has his 1st "grown up" concert tomorrow. a Cyber turned real-life band called DethKlok at the House of Blues. So he wants to go buy some funky ass shirt and shorts to wear. I think a trip to the swap meet might be on my agenda later today as well. |crazy|

I'm off to pick up laundry then come back and work for 12 straight hours. for some reason, since our sad board news was posted, I cannot seem to shake off this funk. Hopefully burying myself in work over the next few days will do it. Either that or I'm going to lay in bed and suck my thumb. Work is much more lucrative.

Morning all. Had a horrible night's sleep. We found out last night why you should not use cheap garden hose when the hose split to our garage cooler and flooded the back yard.

That evening, I set up all the battery operated timers to water the landscaping and gardening by turning the valves on and off, and I had pictures all night of the entire backyard looking like this because a valve stuck on, so didn't sleep hardly at all.

Fortunately, everything worked the way it should, and the flood waters have receeded. We both shudder to think what would have happened if that had split when we were in Vegas. It would have had to flood all the way into our neighbor's yard behind us for them to notice, which would have put the entire garden and greenhouse underwater by alot.

So we are putting a really good hose on all the coolers before we come.

Here's to hoping everyone has a flood-free kinda day.

Hell - my soaker hose broke in the greenhouse last week - I had removed the restricter (or lost it) and it filled the bottom of the greenhouse to about 12 inches before I caught it. |banghead|

Way more strawberries than I can eat here - and the roses are just starting to bloom.

I was up all night so I'll probably sleep through most of what promises to be a beautiful day.

Morning everyone. Going to be working away and when I feel like I'm done I'm just going to check out for the rest of the day and watch TV or go to a movie or something besides work on websites and program.

When I walked over to take that pic in the greenhouse, I sank in clay over my ankles, and we have weed barrier down, and gravel over it, and still sank. I hate our native soil...it is called puff dust and is basically clay/very fine sandish mix that is great I'm sure for making adobe but just sucks as far as anything else.

Glad your greenhouse was ok, that is a lot more water then we ended up with.

All but 2 of those tomato plants are cherry tomatoes, I'm sure in another few weeks we will be buried in tomatoes. But given the recent tomato scare, I bet they sell well at the farmer's market. :D

I need to get more roma tomatoes sprouted to plant outside, I only have 2 and want more so I can can them this fall, and make sun dried tomatoes.

Maybe you could make some strawberry jam? It isn't all that hard to do.

Between this & that unpleasant hair business, I'm starting to think you need to stay indoors & work on the computer :D

I only planted one "Super-Sweet 100" cherry tomato - and no Roma's this year - they never produce for me the way Better Boy, Champion, and Caspian Pink do. I put in less of everything this year as I tend to plant way too close and bugs can get to be a problem. should have plenty of onions, garlic, peppers, carrots, cukes and zucchini
