I woke up at 4:30 for no reason & decided to get up & work instead of laying there like a fat lump with a breathing mask.

Watched Jumper last night - thought it was a good movie, but after reading the reviews, I doubt the obvious sequel will see the light of day (obscure Michael J Fox reference |headbang|)

2nd quarter taxes are due Monday - I should probably see if there's any change in the piggy-bank :D

I thought 2nd quarter taxes were due July 15 -- since June is part of the 2nd quarter. Now I've got to call my accountant.

Today is intense math day to work around some issues. I remember in high school wondering why I would ever need certain aspects of math that I was required to take. Many times over the last few years I have been reminded of some of the practical uses. I guess my teachers were right.

Well, back to work for me -- For some reason, even though I tried to sleep 6.5 hours like the time magazine article suggested..... :)

Next Thursday I'll be heading out for my vacation and I'm already starting to stress over the time away from my computer.

Morning all:) its 1:56 midday here and rainy weather.
I am still stuck with my 11 year old son for some days and he is making me tired....... he managed to make me laugh with all the things he say or do:D i believe he is a little clown, still i am glad when he is back to school next week again and i manage to keep him busy with the WII thing (yeah i got finally a goddamn wii too, when i get a chanse to play with that thing its pinball time for me:D)|bananna|
For days i am trying to order a bigger swimmingpool and i am getting frustrated because it wont work out, i phoned the company who deliver that stuff but they said i have to order the damn thing at the other dealers and when i phone them they are not willing to order the damn thing because i am the only one on this moment who want one.....fuck them, got an other phonecall to make in some minutes to try to order that thing, if that wont work out, then i will fucking phone the country Spain myself to order it (the pool has to come out of spain)
I got tons of more stuff to say but i dont wanna bore you all and dont wanna grab to much space on GG and Jim board:D

After a lightning storm Tues midday our cable was dead. Service guy found a fried splitter outside that wasn't grounded. Without an internet connection and television I was lost and didn't know what to do. |huh |crazy| All is well now...

Morning everyone. Going to be working on a small amount of code and then it's time for a lot of more data entry for this new project. Going to be working on the laptop watching golf while doing the data entry. That should make it a little easier to take. Later tonight going to be meeting up for dinner with friends that are in town for the tournament.

Up since 5:15 this morning. Spent most part of my working day in the pouring rain. Good thing I sat in one of those cool caterpilar machines :)

We had a first child burning of the summer season yesterday. 17 hours these parents of 6 left their 4 yr old to roast.

Obviously the "No child left behind" Act should have some additional provisions.

Emmy and I brought a house yesterday :D
We weren't looking for one but this one kind of dropped in our laps. Its somewhere we have always really liked but rarely passed as it's on a side road we don't normally use to leave town.

Emmy saw the for sale sign first as I was looking at the view and she nearly had a coronary trying to tell me the house I had wanted since living here was up for sale. We booked a viewing for later that evening as soon as we got home and just before leaving to see the house, we finally heard from the realtor that the price it had been listed at was way below market value as it was being sold in probate.

We put in an offer the next morning and that afternoon heard ours had been accepted |bananna|

Start to finish the house was listed for about 18 hrs before being sold so we were incredibly lucky to get it. The amazing thing is that it sits high above our town on 1.25 acres overlooking the lake with a million dollar view and we got it for the price of a standard 3 bed detached |bananna|

Had the stomach flu, I guess, and it kicked my ass for 2 damn days. Finally feel better and not afraid to eat :D

My brother is in town and he is letting me spend some time with my nephew and niece today. I think I am going to take them to see Kung Fu Panda. After that I will be hanging out with my daughter for an early Fathers Day since she has to work that day.

That was quick. You were just telling me about seeing it for sale and trying to set up an appt. I remember you two showing Kim and I when we visited and it has a gorgeous view.
