My 1st Blog - Looking For Trades

Hi all. I've finally got a blog up and running and am looking for a few trades. It's a big boob blog and is located here. If you're interested in a trade, PM me or post your info here. I have no idea what I'm doing but am learning! Thanks! :)

RedCherry 2008-07-13 10:25 AM

I love the colors. :) Looks great in FireFox, but IE I get errors and it doesn't load all the way. Might want to check your code, or check it in IE.

If this is a wordpress blog, I'd definitely look into the plugin Simple Tags and add some tags too, the SE's love them. |thumb

I have a few splogs, and some handwritten blogs, I'd be happy to trade with you. ;)

http://www.homeofthegirlnextdoor.com
http://www.hotsexysecretaries.com
http://www.hotfreemilfporn.com
http://www.theredcherry.com/reality-porn-blog/
http://www.redneckpornblog.com MadHatter's blog
http://www.redneckpornsitereviews.com/ his other blog.

Let me know if you want to trade with any or all, and what text you want me to link to you with. You can link to me with the name of the site, except for red cherry's link with reality porn blog.

Thanks RedCherry. I actually use IE and it loads fine for me? Is anyone else having trouble getting the site to load with IE? I've actually had a LOT of trouble getting this blog up and running and have debated throwing the towel in on more than one occasion. Blogs sure have a big learning curve. |loony|

I had issues first in NetCaptor, my browser of choice, and it shows all three columns, the movie room banner, and the one embedded movie. None of the text or posts show up. Same thing in IE. I'm using version 6.0.2900 with SP2. I get a done, but with errors on page.

Going to get your links up on those blogs I posted right now. |thumb

The only thing I see different is the text at the bottom (© 2008 Big Titty Site - All models are at least 18 years old. This site is in compliance with 18 USC section 2257 ) isn't in the light pink in IE , there is no light pink boarder at the bottom in IE

I noticed that too . Thanks for looking. Right now I'm going to try to figure out how to make the tags display under each post (it's a wordpress blog) and how to add the tag cloud to the sidebar (without using the widgets - I edit/add html by hand).

I'm using IE 7.0. I wonder if the problem is with the peel ad in the upper right corner? I was also thinking I might have too much stuff embedded and too many iframes. Not sure though since I don't see any errors. |confused|

You're links are up. Thanks for the trade. |shake|

Hard to not use widgets for tag cloud, but to get the tags to display, you can use this code:

Code:

I normally put it under the post, with at least one blank line between the post code and it. I put this on the main index page template, single post template, search, and archives pages so it shows up everywhere.

If you want to display tags in your post, you need to edit the simple tags file.

Find the file simple-tags.client.php in both the 2.3 folder, and 2.5. Go down to approx line 182 you will see code that looks like this:

Code:

// Remove embedded tags in posts display
                if ( $this->options['use_embed_tags'] == 1 ) {
                        add_filter('the_content', array(&$this, 'filterEmbedTags'), 0);
                }

Comment it out like this:

Code:

        // Remove embedded tags in posts display
        //        if ( $this->options['use_embed_tags'] == 1 ) {
        //                add_filter('the_content', array(&$this, 'filterEmbedTags'), 0);
        //        }

and your tags will show up in your posts too. |thumb

Maybe I need to upgrade, lol. Since it says done with errors, that always makes me suspect a java script error. Can you take the peel ad off and let me check real quick, to see if the error goes away?

RedCherry 2008-07-13 11:32 AM

Ok got your links up. I don't think it is the peel ad. Trying to watch to see where it bombs out, because it loads up the page to a certian point, then everything goes away.

Looks like it loads until it gets to here:

Code:

then the site goes crazy, which doesn't really make sense, since that is a pretty simple php call.

walrus 2008-07-13 12:02 PM

I took the liberty of adding your RSS feed to XXX Blog Index and Porn Blog Surfer.

No link back required.

Thanks walrus!! Are you sure about not wanting a link back? I have no problem adding whatever link you'd like. Just let me know. :)

Thanks RedCherry! You're awesome and thanks for taking the time today to look into this for me. Trying to figure this out. This blog may do me in today. |cry|

Nice blog - don't have any in that cat but I'd be more than happy to list it on my LL in the Huge Knockers cat.

digifan 2008-07-13 03:07 PM

I'll add it to my one and only site, www.adigital-fantasy.com :)

Done.

Cool - I should get to it early in the week - still catching up from Vegas - and a trashed house

I'll try to remember to sneak some more one way links to your blog within the descriptions of your big boob submissions. When I do review, I tend to be drinking, so hopefully it won't slip my mind. |loony|

And no - you don't need to link back! Enjoy a few minor one-ways when you get them.

Looks great in firefox. IE7 nothing below the calendar in the right column loads for me.

I have 2 blogs and amateur latina and a multi category blog if you wanna trade links with them, let me know. :)

I just checked your code at www.w3.org. The css is fine but there are a ton of errors in the html. You might start there to correct the display problem in IE7. Hit me up on icq later and I will help you with it.

Must be why IE6 is freaking out. I've never upgraded to 7, not sure why, but must be a bit more sensitive to html errors. I agree though, firefox it looks great. |thumb

After seeing that my old browser NetCaptor hasn't been supported since 2003, I'm adding all my favorites to firefox to make the change. Guess its about time, lol.

You are on the right track. That is a great 1st effort.
