So if you don't mind me asking what is it like having this? Do you see and hear things that aren't there or is it that you have a hard time deciding what is real or is it something else all together? If you don't want to talk about it that is ok too. About all I know is from watching the movie Beautiful Mind and a few Google searches.

For what every it is worth you seem like a decent, pleasant, intelligent, basically likable person. :)

My father actually suffers from Schizophrenia. Its not like what tv would lead you to think. He actually functioned in the world better than me and even held a factory job long enough to retire. He would have episodes that would lead to him either admitting himself or being placed into the hospital by others. These episodes would manifest themselves in different ways. Some being like depression while other times he would go into a total stupor with the worst leaving him in a catatonic type state. Pretty sad stuff really.

I hear voices in my head which comment on what I am doing or about what other people are thinking. I was diagnosed "Paranoid Schizophrenic" a while back after having an episode on the 15th floor of a multi storey car park. An episode is when the voices become stronger and I fall into a kind of trance like state where I have little control over what is going on. I can sometimes end up in places and not remember how I got there. I have also found web pages updated and cannot remember doing them. So I have to keep re-checking web sites to which I have FTP access to.

The voices are clear and usually sound spiteful, but more recently I have only heard one voice which is more friendly and seems to be concerned about my welfare. Almost like having a guardian angel. I am told that the voices are extensions of my own thoughts, but I am not 100% certain of this, as some information I am given is beyond my knowledge.

The main problem is the uncertainty of the world around me and the lack of personal trust I have. Some days everyone and everything (including machinery) seems to be a threat to me in some way. It can be like a dense fog in your mind.

With all the treads about people quitting I though you were just foolin around and didn't know that you had Schizophrenia.

I did do some reading on it and it sounds like it can be rather frightening at times for you, not to mention a real pain in the ass.

Sounds like things are getting better for you though and I wouldn't sweat the websites "It's just the web".
