Traffic WAY down
 

Okay, I've been around long enough to know that for everyone who sees a slump in sales, five other people are having record weeks.

Now that that's out of the way...is anyone else seeing a severe dip in traffic sent to sponsors this week? I made a few changes recently that could affect traffic, but didn't expect to see much in the way of net loss or gain. Traffic incoming is down slightly; traffic to sponsors is down by over 50% and getting worse.

I know I shouldn't panic; 4 days does not a trend make...but, AGH!

I'll be making some changes in the next couple of weeks that will allow me (I hope) to better monitor traffic overall, but...well, I'm just curious if anyone else is in the same boat.

I don't pay as much attention as I have in the past as far as traffic & stats & whatnot, things seem to be normal for me.

The only number that matters - money - seems to be a little bit better than Dec so I'm happy :)

I've always wished that I had a good solid reply to one of these queries. But frankly, I suck so much at this that I couldn't tell you who's going where and doing what. I'm just happy to see bandwidth being consumed. My sales are always so sporadic that I don't know if I'm up or down or even still in the game from day to day. I envy people like you who notice a drop or an increase. For me, every sale has me saying 'wow, that guy had to be really needy to buy from me!'

My traffic has been about normal but so far this month sales have really sucked for me but this has been the way it has been for e the last few months with sales getting really strong the second half of the month.

I was on a record month and all sales stopped monday and nothing through the week I guess I have to adjust my magic bot..

Same here, month was doing fantastic for me then I noticed a slowdown the last couple days as well. Hopefully it will pick back up.

My traffic has been consistent the past few months, but sales have been slow. They seem to come in waves...not sure why

same here... only one sell since monday, doesnt look pretty. hopefully the weekend will be better..

it seems all the days i have great traffic i dont get the sales (like yesterday, was my highest traffic day EVER, but no sales!)

Epoch recently announced a tech issue that may have been casuing some issues for the last 24 hours or so. 2 European friends contacted me asking me to check sites for thier processor because others could not load the pages. They loaded fine for me and I'll get more info from them tomorrow.

Thre could be some additional issues for the last 24 to 36 hours but things were fine until then.

Something else to consider at least... This is for many college porn addicts the first week of classes and that usually means a shit pile of homework and reading to kick off the semester.

some traffic of some ses went down to some sites of me while other sites of me went up, i still trying to find out, why the fuck altavista is suddenly sending alot of traffic to some of my old free sites.....

last 2 days have been totally slow for us too :(

I must say except the last couple of days I have been happy with this months; and my TGP reached on the 19th the amount of traffic it had for all of December, so there's some room to grow...

I think epoch had an issue where their system would reject every email address or something odd like that. Which has been repaired evidently.
Even so, I've been on a small upswing which is a nice flip-flop from the first half month. |hello|

I certainly haven't reached Traffic Goddess status yet. I just finally have enough that I can look at stats and make some reasonable predictions and set some goals based on those predictions. And I DON'T LIKE IT when I can't meet my goals. |shocking| (<- Glad for a chance to use that fun little guy.)

Well you guys are not alone, my traffic is just a little under the usual but my sales are only about 60% of what I normally get at this point into the month. Conversions are way down with a couple of my top sponsors too. A couple of my sponsors are still converting good Thank God. BUT I always attribute that to the "quality" of my traffic when sales go down despite traffic being fairly consistent. I had to pull some of my advertising spots that usually convert really well because I didn't have the money after Christmas to pay for them this month LOL. And I am seeing the difference in my conversion ratios bigtime!

I've always thought is was in part do to how the CC's scrub.

That could be it...I noticed that this week started off really strong, but then JUST the last couple of days were a little slower...funny you mentioned that

I'll answer that with a qualified "yes". Of course I build free sites, so naturally I'm going to see small peaks in signups when a free site gets a good listing. But I've had sites I haven't actively promoted in months suddenly get a burst of signups.

It's probably more the result of some nice new Google listing than any particular cosmic force...but whatever it is, I wish I could harness it. ;)

Traffic, sign ups suddenly back to normal. Huge spike for me. Hope to hear the same from everyone else. Finally some good news!

My traffic already (on 21st) has matched last month's - sales are down a bit to December, but I expect things to pickup later this month.
