Yeah, very cool here last night. There were police and red cross workers out looking for homeless last night to make sure they didn't spend the night outside. It was supposed to hit -30F. It is -13F right now.

I've been up for 4 hours already. Haven't got a damn thing done. Now I'm tired and want to snooze. Supposed to be getting a cold snap here to. Right now it's 30 F.

Well, here I am again. Went to bed around 0300 and up again at 0730. That can't be healthy. I certainly don't feel healthy. I should go back to bed, but as a wise person once said, 'porn waits for no man'.

Did someone say cold? Mother Earth wants us gone.

It is 59 F (15 C) here so it should be a long sleeve top day here after the sun warms it up.

I still have a bit of this whatever it is that is making me very tired with a slightly runny nose. I'm not sure if it is alleges or a bit of the flu but I sure wish it would go away.

A friend of mine that I have known for over twenty years is finally buying her first computer. It's hard to believe that anyone still doesn't own one but she doesn't. She wants to buy a Dell and was getting ready to order it when she saw that me and most of the people that I know use Macs so now she is driving me nuts asking questions. I've told her to buy the Dell mostly because this means that I don't have to deal with showing her how to use it or help her with it since I can just say that I don't do Windows. Actually I told her to give FoxyAngel a call since she has a bunch of Wintell computers sitting in her closet that aren't being used and she would probably just give her one of them. They are all infected with a bunch of viruses but I guess a person could just erase the drives and be good to go.

Doesn't look like the new board software likes extended characters. :(

Morning everyone , it is currently 1F here (before wind chill, so its probably like -15 or so since I live on a lake that gets a nasty breeze at all times of the year.

At least I went and bought a Kerosene heater for my office now so I don't have to freeze my ass of :)

Standard programming, approvals etc etc that I do everyday. Parents are coming up for the weekend today and so is my brother who is going to do some construction stuff I need done while I stand around and supervise :) Nice to have a brother who is a general contractor sometimes :) (some of you met him at Internext.)

Stay warm, a couple more months and it iwll be spring...can't wait!

It is "Option K" on a Mac keyboard but for some odd reason that doesn't work in Safari whilst it works in every other program. It displays the degrees symbol in the posting window but it doesn't show up in the actually post.

I've been copy and pasting it from what my html editor gave me for the code.

Option K still doesn't work but that seems to be a Safari issue. Copy and pasting the ° does work mow where with the old board software it didn't.

I use an extended clipboard utility so I just added the ° symbol to it. :)

Actually since Safari is still at version 1.2.4 I suspect that is something that hasn't been incorporated into it yet. Safari works great but is still missing some pretty annoying things.

It's a balmy 70 here ..hard to believe 2 weeks ago we had Snow..

oh and yesterday we had a bomb scare here in vegas.. 75K people that were at the LVCC were evacuated.. and every taxi, limo and bus was checked at each hotel.

turns out it was bull shit.. should be interesting to see what excitement today brings. |shocking|

I stopped and bought four dinning room chairs from a Russian man on the side of the street on my way home from the gym just now for $100 bucks. I had to put my top back in so that I could leave the hatch open with the four chairs in the back of my Vette.

My old ones are out at the street with a sign that says Free please take me. :D

It's up to 8° here, but they have so much salt on the roads that they are all wet & not icey at all. Really strange to drive thru salt-water when it's this cold.

Cold sucks. I'm right off the water so it tends to be a bit more windy here. The ocean is frozen solid out back. Can't wait to move.

In other news: After gaining 10lbs after New year I was @ 215lbs. My heaviest weight is like mid 190's. I have "fat pants" at 36 inches and my 'in shape' pants at 34 inches.

After New Years I went on a diet and started ephedrine again. Thing is- after 6 days usage it made the spot in my lung where I had the blood clot hurt...a lot.

So, I stopped that.

I decided fuck the diet and I'll just work out and get stronger. I can tell I'm getting older though. Everything takes longer. Hell, I figured it will take about 4-6 weeks just to get limber enough to start lifting heavy again safely.

No diet though. :D

I hopped in the truck to get lunch and the A/C was cranked (auto) until I got out of the development at which point it decided the car interior was 75F and turned down the fans.

Then, I did my part to raise McDonalds stock value.

That's what AC is for. I e-mailed my buddy in clermont, fl to tell him the weather he's missing.

He replied back and had the balls to say it was "chilly" there too.

Told him if we had his LOW temp we'd be breakin' out the Slip 'n Slide.

It is relative though- people adapt pretty quickly to their new environments.

When I was younger I moved to San Francisco for a few years and then acrose the bay to Richmond for a few more.

By the time I decided to move back to south Florida it was as if nothing I could do got the cold out of my bones. I just always felt damp, cold, and miserable.

I have no desire to live anyplace else or even visit anyplace cold. I don't even own a warm coat or anything warm at all.
